BALL JOINT CHECKING
Inspect ball joints for wear. Move ball joint fully back and forth 5 times. Install nut and use torque wrench to rotate. Turn nut continuously at one turn every 3-5 seconds and read torque on fifth turn. Replace ball joint if rotating torque exceeds specification. See BALL JOINT ROTATING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.

RIDE HEIGHT
Note. Before measuring riding height, bounce vehicle several times to stabilize suspension.
- Measure front and rear vehicle height. Standard front height is the difference between ground clearance of spindle center (A) and ground clearance of lower control arm front bolt center (B). (Scheme 31)
- Standard rear height is difference between ground clearance of rear axle shaft center (C) and ground clearance of lower control arm front bolt center (D). (Scheme 31)
