DISASSEMBLY

  1. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY Remove the screw. Disconnect the connector. Detach the claw and remove the blower unit.
  2. REMOVE DRAIN COOLER HOSE Remove the 2 drain hoses.
  3. REMOVE AIR DUCT LH Detach the 4 claws and remove the duct.
  4. REMOVE AIR DUCT RH Detach the 4 claws and remove the duct.
  5. REMOVE COOL AIR BYPASS SERVO MOTOR LH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  6. REMOVE COOL AIR BYPASS SERVO MOTOR RH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  7. REMOVE AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR LH (Cool) Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  8. REMOVE AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR RH (Cool) Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  9. REMOVE AIR OUTLET SERVO MOTOR LH (Face) Detach the 3 claws and remove the lever. Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  10. REMOVE AIR OUTLET SERVO MOTOR RH (Face) Detach the claw and remove the lever. Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  11. REMOVE REAR MODE SERVO MOTOR LH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  12. REMOVE REAR MODE SERVO MOTOR RH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  13. REMOVE REAR AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR LH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  14. REMOVE REAR AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR RH Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  15. REMOVE AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR LH (Hot) Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  16. REMOVE AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR RH (Hot) Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  17. REMOVE HOT AIR BYPASS SERVO MOTOR Disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 screws and damper servo.
  18. REMOVE FRONT FOOT/DEF SERVO MOTOR LH Detach the claw and remove the main plate. Disconnect the connector. Remove the 3 screws and damper servo.
  19. REMOVE FRONT FOOT/DEF SERVO MOTOR RH Detach the claw and remove the main plate. Disconnect the connector. Remove the 3 screws and damper servo.
  20. REMOVE PTC HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ PTC Heater) Remove the 2 screws. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the PTC heater.
  21. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONER HARNESS
  22. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONER RADIATOR ASSEMBLY Remove the screw and bracket. Remove the radiator, as shown in the illustration.
  23. REMOVE EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Remove the butyl tape and packing from the A/C tube. Remove the 6 screws. Detach the 3 claws and remove the front cooling unit case. Remove the evaporator.
  24. REMOVE FRONT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR Detach the clamp and remove the sensor.

  1. INSPECT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 -10°C (14°F) 7.30 to 9.10 kohms 1 - 2 -5°C (23°F) 5.65 to 6.95 kohms 1 - 2 0°C (32°F) 4.40 to 5.35 kohms 1 - 2 5°C (41°F) 3.40 to 4.15 kohms 1 - 2 10°C (50°F) 2.70 to 3.25 kohms 1 - 2 15°C (59°F) 2.14 to 2.58 kohms 1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 1.71 to 2.05 kohms 1 - 2 25°C (77°F) 1.38 to 1.64 kohms 1 - 2 30°C (86°F) 1.11 to 1.32 kohms NOTE: Even slightly touching the sensor may change the resistance value. Be sure to hold the connector of the sensor. When measuring, the sensor temperature must be almost the same as the ambient temperature. HINT: As the temperature increases, the resistance decreases (see the graph above). If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the sensor.

REASSEMBLY

  1. INSTALL FRONT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR NOTE: If reusing the evaporator, do not insert the sensor into a location where the sensor was previously inserted. Insert the sensor within range C shown in the illustration. Install the sensor as shown in the illustration. AREA DIMENSION CHART Area Standard Dimension a 25 mm (0.984 in.) b 154 mm (6.630 in.) c 33.3 mm (1.1311 in.) d 50 mm (1.969 in.) Attach the clamp.
  2. INSTALL EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Install the evaporator. Attach the 3 claws to install the front cooling unit case. Install the 6 screws. Install new butyl tape and packing.
  3. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONER RADIATOR ASSEMBLY Install the radiator. Install the bracket with the screw.
  4. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONER HARNESS
  5. INSTALL PTC HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ PTC Heater) Attach the 3 clamps to install the PTC heater. Install the 2 screws.
  6. INSTALL FRONT FOOT/DEF SERVO MOTOR LH Install the damper servo with the 3 screws. Connect the connector. Attach the claw to install the main plate, as shown in the illustration.
  7. INSTALL FRONT FOOT/DEF SERVO MOTOR RH Install the damper servo with the 3 screws. Connect the connector. Attach the claw to install the main plate.
  8. INSTALL HOT AIR BYPASS SERVO MOTOR Align the protruding parts on the case and cover, install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  9. INSTALL AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR LH (Hot) Make sure that the rod does not rotate further by trying to rotate it clockwise. Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  10. INSTALL AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR RH (Hot) Make sure that the rod does not rotate further by trying to rotate it clockwise. Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  11. INSTALL REAR AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR LH Align the protruding parts on the case and cover, install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  12. INSTALL REAR AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR RH Align the protruding parts on the case and cover, install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  13. INSTALL REAR MODE SERVO MOTOR LH Set the lever onto the stopper, as shown in the illustration. Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  14. INSTALL REAR MODE SERVO MOTOR RH Set the lever onto the stopper, as shown in the illustration. Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  15. INSTALL AIR OUTLET SERVO MOTOR LH (Face) Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector. Set the lever so that the cutout part engages with a tooth of the gear, and then attach the 3 claws to install the lever.
  16. INSTALL AIR OUTLET SERVO MOTOR RH (Face) Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector. Set the lever so that the cutout part engages with a tooth of the gear, attach the claw to install the lever.
  17. INSTALL AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR LH (Cool) Make sure that the rod does not rotate further by trying to rotate it clockwise. Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  18. INSTALL AIR MIX SERVO MOTOR RH (Cool) Make sure that the rod does not rotate further by trying to rotate it clockwise. Install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  19. INSTALL COOL AIR BYPASS SERVO MOTOR LH Set the lever so that the cutout part engages with a tooth of the gear, install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  20. INSTALL COOL AIR BYPASS SERVO MOTOR RH Set the lever so that the cutout part engages with a tooth of the gear, install the damper servo with the 2 screws. Connect the connector.
  21. INSTALL AIR DUCT LH Attach the 4 claws to install the duct.
  22. INSTALL AIR DUCT RH Attach the 4 claws to install the duct.
  23. INSTALL DRAIN COOLER HOSE Install the 2 drain hoses, as shown in the illustration.
  24. INSTALL BLOWER ASSEMBLY Attach the claw to install the blower unit. Connect the connector. Install the screw.

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET Install the bracket with the 2 bolts.
  2. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET Install the bracket with the 2 bolts.
  3. INSTALL INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET Connect the connectors. Insert the panel and attach the 6 clips on its backside. Install the panel with the 2 bolts.

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See «REMOVAL»(ref-349732-S04425564642009120800000) )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation. NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
