ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT REMINDER LIGHT

Note. To determine the appropriate reset procedure, refer to ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT REMINDER RESET INDEX . Only vehicles listed in this index have an engine oil replacement reminder light.

ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT REMINDER RESET - PROCEDURE 1

To reset MAINT REQD reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position with odometer display showing.
2. Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down ODO/TRIP reset knob.
3. Hold ODO/TRIP reset knob down for at least 5 seconds. Odometer should display "000000", and reminder light will turn OFF.
4. If system fails to reset, reminder light will remain flashing.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Start engine. For Hybrid models, use Operating mode.
2. Switch odometer display to TRIP A.
3. Turn ignition OFF.
4. Turn ignition ON (Power mode for Hybrid - Operating mode will cancel reset) while holding down trip meter reset button. On some models, a resetting message is shown on the instrument cluster display
5. Continue to press and hold button until the trip meter displays "000000" and the reminder light turns OFF.
6. If system fails to reset, reminder light will remain flashing.

To reset OIL MAINT REQD reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn ignition ON, with engine OFF.
2. Push the ODO TRIP switch in the switch box (box flips out on left side of instrument panel) to change the display to blank.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF.
4. Hold down trip meter RESET switch and then turn ignition switch ON.
5. Hold down the RESET switch for more than 7 seconds after ignition switch has been turned ON.
6. The master warning light should come ON, a warning tone should sound, and the multi-information display will show a message informing that engine oil maintenance data has been reset.

To reset OIL MAINT REQD reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn ignition ON, with engine OFF.
2. Press the DISP switch to change the multi-information display to blank.
3. Turn ignition OFF.
4. Hold down trip meter RESET switch and then turn ignition switch ON.
5. Hold down the trip meter RESET button for more than 7 seconds after ignition switch has been turned ON.
6. The OIL MILEAGE RESET message will appear on the display. The master warning light and tone will turn ON. After 5 seconds, the system reset is completed.

To reset MAINT REQD reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn ignition ON, with engine OFF.
2. Switch display to ODOMETER.
3. Turn ignition OFF.
4. While pressing the ODO/TRIP button, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
5. Continue to press and hold button until the "MAINTENANCE REQD RESET MODE COMPLETE" message is displayed.

To reset MAINT REQD reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position with odometer display showing.
2. Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down ODO/TRIP knob.
3. Hold ODO/TRIP reset knob down until reminder light goes OFF. NOTE: Before reminder light goes OFF, it will illuminate for 3 seconds, flash for 2 seconds and illuminate for one second.
4. If system fails to reset, reminder light will remain flashing.

Note. Vehicle is equipped with electronic ignition key. Key should be on your person. Engine switch mode can be changed by pressing ENGINE START/STOP button (1-OFF; 2-ACC; 3-IG-ON) without depressing brake pedal (A/T) or clutch pedal (M/T). Depressing brake or clutch pedal and pressing engine switch will start the engine (engine switch indicator turns Green).

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Start engine (or activate the Hybrid system). Switch the odometer display to TRIP A while the engine is running/activated.
2. Turn the ENGINE START STOP switch to OFF.
3. Turn the ENGINE START STOP switch to IGNITION ON mode with trip meter reset button held down. NOTE: DO NOT start/activate engine, otherwise the reset mode will be cancelled.
4. Press and hold the button until the multi-information display indicates that the reset is COMPLETE.

To reset MAINT REQD reminder light after engine oil change

1. With ignition switch on, push ODO/TRIP button to change display to blank.
2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
3. Turn ignition switch to ON position, while holding trip meter RESET button down.
4. Continue pushing RESET button for more than 5 seconds, after the ignition switch is turned to ON position.
5. Master warning light comes on, a warning tone sounds, and MILEAGE RESET message appears, to inform that engine oil maintenance data has been reset.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Switch the power source to IG-ON. Then use the TRIP switch to turn ON the TRIP A display on the multi-information display.
2. Switch the power source to OFF.
3. While pushing the RESET button, switch the power source to IG-ON.
4. Keep holding the RESET switch (for at least five seconds) while the multi-information display counts down.
5. When the reset operation is complete, the multi-information display will display "COMPLETE". Release the RESET switch. After 6 seconds, the "COMPLETE" display will turn OFF.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Switch the odometer display to the TRIP METER A while the hybrid system is operating.
2. Turn the POWER switch to OFF mode.
3. While pressing the trip meter RESET button, turn the POWER switch to ON mode (DO NOT start engine, otherwise the reset mode will be cancelled).
4. Press and hold the button until the multi-information display indicates that the reset is COMPLETE.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position with odometer display showing.
2. Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down ODO/TRIP reset knob.
3. Hold ODO/TRIP reset knob down for at least 5 seconds. Odometer should display "000000", and reminder light will turn OFF.
4. If system fails to reset, reminder light will remain flashing.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

Note. The reset switch is located inside the integration control and panel assembly on the left side of the instrument panel.

1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) while pressing and holding the reset switch.
2. Hold the reset switch for 5 seconds, and the display shows "OIL MILEAGE RESET" and the master warning light illuminates.
3. When "OIL MILEAGE RESET" disappears and the master warning light turns off, the reset is complete.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and use the ODO/TRIP button to change the screen display to TRIP A. NOTE: The ODO/TRIP switch is in the light control rheostat.
2. Turn the engine switch OFF.
3. While holding in the ODO/TRIP button, turn the engine switch ON (IG).
4. After 5 seconds, reminder system is reset.

Note. If the engine switch is turned OFF during the reset operation, reset mode will be canceled. If the ODO/TRIP button is released during the reset operation, reset mode will be canceled.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn the ignition (or Power) switch (IG) ON.
2. Use the ODO/TRIP button to change the screen display to TRIP A.
3. Turn the ignition (or Power) switch OFF.
4. Turn the ignition (or Power) switch ON (IG) while pressing and holding the ODO/TRIP button.
5. Hold the ODO/TRIP button for 5 seconds until the following conditions are met: The TRIP A meter shows "000000". The master warning light illuminates.
6. When "000000" disappears and the master warning light turns off, the resetting procedure is complete.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Turn the engine switch ON (IG).
2. Press the TRIP meter RESET knob until the ODO meter appears
3. Turn ignition OFF.
4. Turn the engine switch ON (IG) while pressing and holding the trip meter RESET knob.
5. Hold the trip meter RESET knob until the the ODO meter shows "000000", the master warning light illuminates.
6. When "000000" disappears and the master warning light turns OFF, the resetting procedure is complete.

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Press the Menu switch to change the multi-information display to blank.
2. Turn the ENGINE START STOP switch OFF.
3. While pressing the ODO/TRIP button, turn the ENGINE START STOP switch to IGNITION ON mode.
4. Continue to press and hold the button for more than 7 seconds after the ENGINE START STOP switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode.

The message "RESETTING OIL MAINTENANCE DATA" will appear on the display. After 5 seconds, the system reset will be completed.

ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT REMINDER RESET - PROCEDURE 17

To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil change

1. Switch the display to the odometer when the engine is running.
2. Turn the "ENGINE START STOP" switch OFF.
3. While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the "ENGINE START STOP" switch to IGNITION ON mode (but do not start the engine because otherwise the reset mode will be cancelled). On some models, a resetting message will appear on the instrument cluster display. Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays "000000" (on some models COMPLETE is displayed).

ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT REMINDER RESET - PROCEDURE 18

After the required maintenance is performed according to the maintenance schedule, please reset the maintenance data. To reset the data, follow the procedure described below

1. While the engine is running, switch the multi-information display to the SETTINGS screen. Use the right-side steering wheel controls.
2. Select MAINTENANCE SYSTEM on the SETTINGS screen.
3. Select YES on the MAINTENANCE SYSTEM screen. A message will be displayed when the reset procedure has been completed.
