REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Removal
- Using a screwdriver, remove the wiper arm head covers. (Scheme 14) Remove the 2 nuts and 2 wiper arms.
- Remove the hood to cowl top seal.
- Remove the cowl top ventilator louver by removing the 2 clips and then use a screwdriver, to remove it.
- Remove the wiper link assembly by disconnecting connector and the 3 bolts.
- Remove the wiper motor. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the wiper link from the motor. (Scheme 15) Remove the nut. (Scheme 16) Place the matchmarks on the wiper link and motor. Remove the 3 screws and wiper motor from the wiper link.
- Remove the washer nozzle. Remove the hood insulator. Disconnect the washer hose. Using a screwdriver, remove the washer nozzle. (Scheme 17)

Installation
- Install the wiper motor with the 3 bolts to the wiper link. Torque the bolts. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-154578-S40314768972003051900000) table. Align the matchmarks on the wiper link and wiper motor, then install and torque the nut to the specified value. Connect the wiper link to the wiper motor.
- Install the wiper link assembly and fasten the 5 bolts. Torque the bolts. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-154578-S40314768972003051900000) table. Connect the connector.
- Install the cowl top ventilator louver with the 2 clips.
- Install the hood to cowl top seal.
- Install the wiper arms. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF. Install the wiper arms and tighten the nuts by hand. Adjust the installation points of the wiper arms to the positions. (Scheme 18) A 20 mm (0.787 in.) B 28 mm (1.102 in.) Torque the nuts. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-154578-S40314768972003051900000) table.

- Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim board upper. (Scheme 19)
- Remove the back door trim covers. (Scheme 20) Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and back door trim cover to pry the cover.
- Remove the back door trim board. (Scheme 21) Remove the clip and back door handle. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim board.
- Remove the wiper arm cover. Place the matchmarks on the wiper arm and wiper motor. (Scheme 22) Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.
- Remove the rear wiper motor. Remove the nut and washer on the outer side of the back door panel. Disconnect the connector. Remove the 3 bolts and rear wiper motor.

- Install the rear wiper motor with the 3 bolts. Torque the bolts. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-154578-S40314768972003051900000) table. Connect the connector. Install the nut and washer on the outer side of the back door panel. Torque the nut to specified value.
- Install the rear wiper arm and tighten the nut by hand. Operate the wiper once and turn the wiper switch OFF. Align the matchmarks on the wiper arm and wiper motor. Install the rear wiper arm with the nut. Tighten the nut to specified value. Install the wiper arm cover.
- Install the back door trim board to the back door panel. Install the back door handle with the clip.
- Install the back door trim covers to the body.
- Install the back door trim board upper to the body.
