PROCEDURE

  1. RECONFIRM DTC OUTPUT Reconfirm DTCs. HINT: If DTC U1002 is output from Gateway of the network gateway ECU, this indicates a sub bus 2 malfunction. Troubleshoot for DTC U1002 and check for malfunctions in sub bus 2. RESULT Result Proceed to DTC U1002 is not output from network gateway ECU. A DTC U1002 is output from network gateway ECU (Sub Bus 2). B B --> See step 4 A: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (ABSORBER CONTROL ECU CAN BRANCH WIRE) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Disconnect the absorber control ECU connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance SUB BUS 2 Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition N105-7 (CANH) - N105-8 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 ohms TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Rear view of wire harness connector (to Absorber Control ECU) NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL) OK: Go to next step
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ABSORBER CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. NOTE: When connecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to «INITIALIZATION [03/2012 - ]»(ref-600412-S41156157812014022400000) . Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition N105-3 (B) - Body ground Ppower switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.   5. REPLACE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU. Refer to «REMOVAL [03/2012 - ]»(ref-600637-S30781892722014022400000)

Troubleshoot for DTC U1002 and check for malfunctions in sub bus 1. RESULT Result Proceed to DTC U1002 is not output from main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).   2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH CAN BRANCH WIRE) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Disconnect the position control ECU assembly RH connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition c2-8 (CANP) - c2-9 (CANN) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 ohms TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *a Rear view of wire harness connector (to Position Control ECU Assembly RH) NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANP, CANN) OK: Go to next step

Troubleshoot for DTC U1002 and check for malfunctions in sub bus 13. RESULT Result Proceed to DTC U1002 is not output from driving support ECU assembly.   2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY CAN MAIN WIRE) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
