PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal battery. Disconnect the U8 connectors seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly RH. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition U8-1 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher U8-2 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher U8-1 - U8-2 Always 1 Mohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Disconnect the U8 connectors seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly RH. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition U8-1 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher U8-2 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher NG --> REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH OK --> REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable battery. Disconnect the connectors seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly LH. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition V6-1 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher V6-2 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher V6-1 - V6-2 Always 1 Mohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Disconnect the connectors seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly LH. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition V6-1 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher V6-2 - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher NG --> REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH OK --> REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU
  1. CHECK DTC Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Clear the DTCs stored in memory. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) Turn the engine switch off. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Check for the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) OK NO DTC is output. NG --> REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU OK --> USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
  1. CHECK DTC (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382820-S37477420442011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC P1570 is not output. NG --> GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC B2055 is not output. NG --> REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU OK --> END
  1. CHECK DTC (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382820-S37477420442011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC P1570 is not output. NG --> GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC B2056 is not output. NG --> REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU OK --> END
  1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382793-S21584973372011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC C1234 is not output. NG --> GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC B2057 is not output. NG --> REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU OK --> END
  1. CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC U0126 is not output. NG --> GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) . Recheck for DTC. OK DTC B2058 is not output. NG --> CHECK AND REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU OK --> REPLACE STEERING SENSOR
  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the vehicle speed meter. Combination Meter Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Vehicle Speed Meter Vehicle speed/Min: 0 km/h (0 mph), Max: 255 km/h (158 mph) Almost same as actual vehicle speed (When driving) - OK Vehicle speed displayed on the Techstream is almost the same as the actual vehicle speed. NG --> GO TO COMBINATION METER SYSTEM OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC (MALFUNCTION IN CAN COMMUNICATION WITH ECM) Delete the DTC Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-382818-S03016512882011012800000) . Check for DTC.
