PROCEDURE

  1. INITIAL LEARNING OPERATION SETTING Perform the initial learning operation Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-382840-S30448976942011012800000) . HINT: Use method 1 or 2 to set the steering angle mid-point. NEXT --> END
  1. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-382788-S00106392512011012800000) . If the multiplex communication system is operating normally, proceed to the next step. NEXT: Go to next step
  2. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / INTUITIVE P/A. Turn the clearance sonar main switch ON. Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the Techstream to check the clearance sonar main switch. INTUITIVE P/A: Tester Display Measurement Item / Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Main Switch Clearance sonar main switch / OFF or ON OFF: Clearance sonar main switch OFF ON: Clearance sonar main switch ON - OK --> PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NG: Go to next step
  3. READ VALUE OF TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the engine switch ON. Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / D-SEAT SW. Turn the clearance sonar main switch ON. Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the Techstream to check the clearance sonar main switch. D-SEAT SW: Tester Display Measurement Item / Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Sonar Main Switch Clearance sonar main switch / OFF or ON OFF: Clearance sonar main switch OFF ON: Clearance sonar main switch ON - OK --> PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NG --> REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY TECHSTREAM Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / INTUITIVE P/A. Turn the clearance sonar main switch ON. Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the buzzer operates. INTUITIVE P/A: Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note FRONT BUZZER Front buzzer (Clearance warning buzzer) STOP or OPERATE - OK No. 1 clearance warning buzzer sounds. OK --> PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NG: Go to next step
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU) Disconnect the A38 ECU connector. Disconnect the K32 buzzer connector. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors. Standard resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A38-9 (CBZ) - K32-2 Always Below 1 ohms A38-9 (CBZ) - Body ground Always 1 Mohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  3. CHECK NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER (TERMINAL VOLTAGE) Disconnect the K32 buzzer connector. Measure the voltage of the connector. Standard voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K32-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER - BATTERY) OK --> REPLACE NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER
