This DTC is output when the LEXUS Link service cannot be received.

These DTCs are output when a communication error occurs between the CPU and each interface in the mayday ECU.

This DTC is output when a communication error occurs between the CPU and each interface in the mayday ECU.

Note. Current DTC Historic DTC only Disconnect and reconnect battery. Wait 5 minutes with power switch ON (IG). Check DTCs. If DTC is not set, place a test phone call. If DTC 2-6 is set, replace mayday ECU and mayday battery (backup battery). If this is only a historic DTC, the system has already recovered normally and should be operating normally. Place a test call to verify functionality and then clear historic DTCs.

This DTC is output when one of the following occurs: 1) the mayday ECU is malfunctioning; 2) the telephone antenna (GPS antenna) is malfunctioning; or 3) the antenna cord is malfunctioning.

  1. INSPECT TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (GPS ANTENNA) AND ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disconnect the antenna cord connector from the ECU. Measure the resistance of the connector. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition 1 (SIGNAL) - Body ground 50 to 500 ohms OK --> See step 3 NG: Go to next step
  2. INSPECT ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disconnect the antenna cord connector from the ECU. Disconnect the antenna cord connector from the telephone antenna. Measure the resistance of the antenna cord. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition 1 (SIGNAL) - 1 Below 1 ohms Either terminal 1 - Body ground 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPLACE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC OK: Go to next step
  3. CHECK OPERATION OF MAYDAY ECU Temporarily replace the mayday ECU and mayday battery with a new one. Check for the current DTC again. OK System operates normally (red LED off). NG Current DTC 3-1 exists NG --> REPLACE TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (GPS ANTENNA) THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC OK --> END (MAYDAY ECU IS FAULTY; PERFORM REGISTRATION)

This DTC is output when one of the following occurs: 1) the mayday ECU is malfunctioning; 2) the telephone antenna (cellular phone antenna) is malfunctioning; or 3) the antenna cord is malfunctioning.

  1. INSPECT TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY AND ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disconnect the antenna connector from the ECU. Measure the resistance of the connector. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition 1 (SIGNAL) - Body ground 4 to 11 kohms OK --> See step 3 NG: Go to next step
  2. INSPECT ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disconnect the antenna cord connector from the ECU. Disconnect the antenna cord connector from the telephone antenna. Measure the resistance of the antenna cord.   1. CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM Start the navigation system and check that the voice recognition microphone function operates normally. If the microphone function is normal, proceed to A. If the microphone function is malfunctioning, proceed to B. B --> GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM A: Go to next step
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAYDAY ECU - MAP LIGHT) Disconnect the U45 ECU connector. Disconnect the W6 map light connector. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.   1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAYDAY ECU - MAYDAY BATTERY) Disconnect the U46 ECU connector. Disconnect the U47 battery connector. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors. Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition U46-2 (BBI+) - U47-1 (BBO+) Below 1 ohms U46-9 (BBI-) - U47-2 (BBO-) Below 1 ohms U46-2 (BBI+) or U47-1 (BBO+) - Body ground 10 kohms or higher U46-9 (BBI-) or U47-2 (BBO-) - Body ground 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC OK: Go to next step
  2. REPLACE MAYDAY BATTERY (BACKUP BATTERY) Perform registration. Refer to «REGISTRATION - Step 3»(ref-387182-S22632659552011022400000) . Check for DTC again. OK No DTCs output. NG --> REPLACE MAYDAY ECU THEN PERFORM REGISTRATION OK --> END (MAYDAY BATTERY IS FAULTY; CLEAR HISTORIC DTC)

This circuit supplies power to operate the mayday ECU.

  1. INSPECT FUSE (IGN, ECU-B, ACC) Remove the ECU-B fuse from the engine room junction block. Remove the ACC and IGN fuses from the cowl side junction block RH. Measure the resistance of the fuses. Standard resistance Below 1 ohms NG --> REPLACE FUSE OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAYDAY ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) Disconnect the U45 ECU connector. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector. Standard voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition U45-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V U45-13 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch ON (IG) 10 to 14 V U45-14 (ACC) - Body ground Power switch ON (ACC) 10 to 14 V Standard resistance Tester Connection Specified Condition U45-12 (E) - Body ground Below 1 ohms NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK --> REPLACE MAYDAY ECU TOGETHER WITH MAYDAY BATTERY AND THEN PERFORM REGISTRATION
