WINDOW GOES DOWN DURING UP OPERATION
Perform TEST B: WINDOW GOES DOWN DURING UP OPERATION under SYSTEM TESTS.
TEST B: WINDOW GOES DOWN DURING UP OPERATION
- Sliding Resistance Check Turn ignition switch to ON position. When performing one-touch or manual up operation, observe glass in guides. If problem causing resistance increase can be seen, repair or replace problem as necessary and go to next step. If problem causing resistance is not visible, go to next step.
- Reset Window Motor Limit Switch With window motor harness connector connected, rotate motor for 4-5 seconds in up direction (top dead center of door glass). Check operation of power window. If power window does not operate properly, go to next step. If power window operates properly, system is operating properly at this time.
- Sliding Resistance Check With Regulator Assembly Removed Remove window motor and regulator assembly. See «WINDOW MOTOR & REGULATOR ASSEMBLY»(ref-96850-S03676652892001041900000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Raise window glass by hand while observing glass in guides. If window glass moves smoothly in glass guides, go to next step. If window glass does not move smoothly in glass guides, repair door glass guides or window frame. Retest system operation.
- Check System After Replacing Driver Door ECU Replace driver door ECU. Install window regulator assembly. With window motor harness connector connected, rotate motor for 4-5 seconds in up direction (top dead center of door glass). Check operation of power window. If power window does not operate properly, replace power window motor and retest system operation. If power window operates properly, original driver door ECU was faulty. System is operating properly at this time.
Driver Door, Up Operation
Disconnect window motor connector. Connect ohmmeter positive lead to window motor connector terminal No. 4 and negative ohmmeter lead to window motor connector terminal No. 5. Apply battery positive lead to motor connector terminal No. 1 and battery negative lead to motor connector terminal No. 2. (Схема №2) Continuity should exist when window goes up. Continuity should not exist when window is fully closed. If continuity is not as specified, replace window motor assembly.
