Master Switch

All windows can be controlled from master switch on driver's door panel. One of the individual switches on master switch controls driver's window. All other individual switches control passenger's windows (these are referred to as master passenger's switches to distinguish them from passenger switch on each of passenger's doors).

Passenger's Switches

Window switch on each passenger's door controls window.

Window Lock Switch

When button for window lock switch (located in master switch assembly) is depressed, passenger's windows cannot be operated from master switch or passenger's switches. Only driver's window can be operated. To turn window lock function off, press button again and it will pop up.

Partial Lowering & "One-Touch" Lowering Of Driver's Window

To partially lower driver's window, press button slightly and hold it there until window is at desired level. To fully lower window without having to hold button down, press button down firmly and release it. This function, referred to as "One-Touch" mode. "One-Touch" function is controlled by a logic circuit in master switch.

ALL WINDOWS DO NOT OPERATE WITH APPROPRIATE SWITCH

The following items may be at fault

  1. Body control ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS in BODY CONTROL SYSTEMS article.
  2. Master Switch
  3. Open or shorted wiring harness. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-96850-S10465404382001041900000) .

ALL WINDOWS EXCEPT DRIVER'S DO NOT OPERATE WITH APPROPRIATE SWITCH

The following items may be at fault

  1. Master Switch
  2. Open or shorted wiring harness. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-96850-S10465404382001041900000) .

ALL WINDOWS (EXCEPT DRIVER'S) DO NOT OPERATE WITH REMOTE CONTROL

The master switch may be at fault.

PASSENGER WINDOW IS COMPLETELY INOPERATIVE

The following items may be at fault

  1. Driver door ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS in appropriate POWER DOOR LOCKS, TRUNK LID & FUEL DOOR article.
  2. Master Switch
  3. Open or shorted wiring harness. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-96850-S10465404382001041900000) .

RIGHT REAR WINDOW IS COMPLETELY INOPERATIVE

The following items may be at fault

  1. Driver door ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS in appropriate POWER DOOR LOCKS, TRUNK LID & FUEL DOOR article.
  2. Master Switch
  3. Open or shorted wiring harness. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-96850-S10465404382001041900000) .

LEFT REAR WINDOW IS COMPLETELY INOPERATIVE

The following items may be at fault

  1. Driver door ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS in appropriate POWER DOOR LOCKS, TRUNK LID & FUEL DOOR article.
  2. Master Switch
  3. Open or shorted wiring harness. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-96850-S10465404382001041900000) .

AFTER WINDOW IS FULLY CLOSED, WINDOW GOES DOWN

Check driver door ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS in appropriate POWER DOOR LOCKS, TRUNK LID & FUEL DOOR article.

Driver & Right Rear Door

Disconnect window motor connector. Connect voltmeter positive lead to window motor connector terminal No. 3 and negative voltmeter lead to window motor connector terminal No. 5. Apply battery positive lead to motor connector terminal No. 1 and battery negative lead to motor connector terminal No. 2. (Схема №2) Pulse should be generated with motor running. Reverse polarity of battery leads. Pulse should be generated with motor running. If generated pulse is not as specified, replace window motor assembly.

Passenger & Left Rear Door

Disconnect window motor connector. Connect voltmeter positive lead to window motor connector terminal No. 3 and negative voltmeter lead to window motor connector terminal No. 5. Apply battery positive lead to motor connector terminal No. 2 and battery negative lead to motor connector terminal No. 1. (Схема №2) Pulse should be generated with motor running. Reverse polarity of battery leads. Pulse should be generated with motor running. If generated pulse is not as specified, replace window motor assembly.
