INSTALLATION

  1. INSTALL REAR SUNSHADE RELAY NOTE: When reassembling the rear sunshade assembly, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged. Install the rear sunshade relay with the 2 screws. Connect the connector. Engage the 4 claws and install the rear sunshade relay cover. Install the screw.
  2. INSTALL REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY Install the rear window shade assembly, and temporarily tighten the 4 bolts < A > and bolt < B >. Fully tighten the 5 bolts. Connect the connector.
  3. INSTALL NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY Engage the 6 claws and 3 clips, and install the No. 2 package tray trim panel assembly.
  4. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT SET ( «INSTALLATION»(ref-283105-S36778177742008041700000) )
  5. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY Thread the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors into the package tray trim panel assembly. Insert the rear end of the package tray trim panel assembly into the rear window shade assembly. Engage the 2 clips and install the package tray trim panel assembly.
  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER ( «INSTALLATION»(ref-283085-S35330709052008041700000) )
  7. CONNECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH ( «INSTALLATION»(ref-283085-S35330709052008041700000) )
  8. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH ( «INSTALLATION»(ref-283085-S35330709052008041700000) )
  9. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH ( «INSTALLATION»(ref-283085-S35330709052008041700000) )

  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Disengage the 12 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.
  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door opening trim cover LH.
  23. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH ( «REMOVAL»(ref-283109-S39106719462008041700000) )
  24. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Pull the upper portion of the garnish towards the inside of the cabin and disengage the 2 clips. Cut off clip < A >. Disengage the claw and remove the front pillar garnish LH. Remove clip < A > from the vehicle body. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly. Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration. NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
  25. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Disengage the 8 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.
  26. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH Disengage the 2 claws and 5 clips, and remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.
  27. REMOVE UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH Remove the 2 screws. Pull the lower part of the pillar garnish toward the inside of the vehicle. Using a clip remover, disengage the clip and remove the upper center pillar garnish LH.
  28. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (w/o Rear Seat Side Airbag) Disengage the 4 claws and rear seat side garnish LH.
  29. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag) ( «INSTALLATION»(ref-283084-S18648232732008041700000) )
  30. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH Disengage the 5 clips and claw, and remove the roof side inner garnish assembly LH.
  31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

  63. DISCONNECT STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR (w/ DVD Player) Disconnect the stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

  66. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and open the 2 covers. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Remove the 2 screws. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips. Disconnect the connectors and remove the roof console box assembly.
  67. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover. HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side.
  68. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH Remove the 2 screws and visor assembly LH.
  69. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
  70. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER Remove the visor holder by turning it counterclockwise. HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the hook on the other side.
  71. REMOVE COAT HOOK Remove the screw and coat hook. HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the coat hook on the other side.
  72. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Standard) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips. Disconnect the connector and remove the spot light assembly.
  73. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof) Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips. Disconnect the connector and remove the spot light assembly.
  74. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly. HINT: Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grips.
  75. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Standard) Disconnect the No. 1 roof wire connector and disengage each clamp from the front pillar LH. Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and disengage each clamp from the front pillar RH. Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and disengage the clamp from the rear pillar RH. Disengage the 12 claws, 4 clips, and 11 fasteners. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front right door.
  76. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof) Disconnect the No. 1 roof wire connector and disengage each clamp from the front pillar LH. Disconnect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and disengage the clamp from the rear pillar RH. Disengage the 12 claws, 4 clips, and 21 fasteners. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front right door.
  77. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY ( «REMOVAL»(ref-283118-S00714397192008041700000) )
  78. REMOVE VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY Disengage the 2 claws and separate the bulb holder from the vanity light assembly as shown in the illustration. Disengage the claw and remove the vanity light assembly. HINT: Use the same procedure to remove the light on the other side.
  79. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Standard) Turn the visor connectors clockwise approximately 90° and separate the connectors from the roof headlining assembly. Remove the adhesive tape from the roof headlining assembly. Remove the No. 1 roof wire from the roof headlining assembly. Remove the double-sided tape from the roof headlining assembly.
  80. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Glass Roof) Turn the visor connectors clockwise approximately 90° and separate the connectors from the roof headlining assembly. Remove the adhesive tape from the roof headlining assembly. Remove the No. 1 roof wire from the roof headlining assembly. Remove the double-sided tape from the roof headlining assembly.

  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Standard) Apply new double-sided tape to the locations shown in the illustration while aligning the tape with the markings on the roof headlining. NOTE: Securely apply the double-sided tape to prevent the tape from being out of alignment and peeling off. Peel off the release paper from the double-sided tape. Attach the No. 1 roof wire along the double-sided tape so that the marking surface of the wire harness faces downward. NOTE: Securely attach the No. 1 roof wire. Failure to do so may cause abnormal noise. Turn the visor connectors clockwise approximately 90° to the connectors of the roof headlining. Apply adhesive tape to the locations shown in the illustration. HINT: As shown at point A in the illustration, line up and secure the reference tape of the wire harness to the tip of the roof headlining assembly.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (for Glass Roof) Apply new double-sided tape to the locations shown in the illustration while aligning the tape with the markings on the roof headlining. NOTE: Securely apply the double-sided tape to prevent the tape from being out of alignment and peeling off. Peel off the release paper from the double-sided tape. Attach the No. 1 roof wire along the double-sided tape so that the marking surface of the wire harness faces downward. NOTE: Securely attach the No. 1 roof wire. Failure to do so may cause abnormal noise. Turn the visor connectors clockwise approximately 90° to the connectors of the roof headlining. Apply adhesive tape to the locations shown in the illustration. HINT: As shown at point A in the illustration, line up and secure the reference tape of the wire harness to the tip of the roof headlining assembly.
  3. INSTALL VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY Install the vanity light to the roof headlining. Connect the 2 claws to install the bulb holder. HINT: Use the same procedure to install the light on the other side.
  4. INSTALL ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY ( «INSTALLATION»(ref-283118-S29304314512008041700000) )
  5. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Standard) Pull the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the front right door. Engage the 12 claws, 4 clips, and 11 fasteners. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage the clamp to the rear pillar RH. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar RH. Connect the No. 1 wire connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar LH.
  6. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof) Pull the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the front right door. Engage the 12 claws, 4 clips, and 21 fasteners. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage the clamp to the rear pillar RH. Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar RH. Connect the No. 1 wire connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar LH.
  7. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY Engage the 2 clips to an assist grip sub-assembly as shown in the illustration. Install the assist grip sub-assembly. Install the 2 assist grip covers to the assist grip sub-assembly. HINT: Use the same procedure for the other 3 assist grips.
  8. INSTALL SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Standard) Connect the connector. Engage the 2 clips and install the spot light assembly.
  9. INSTALL SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Glass Roof) Connect the connector. Engage the 2 clips and install the spot light assembly.
  10. INSTALL COAT HOOK Install the coat hook with the screw. HINT: Use the same procedure to install the hook on the other side.
  11. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER Set the claws of the visor holder as shown in the illustration. Engage the claws and install the visor holder. HINT: Use the same procedure to install the holder on the other side.
  12. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH Install the visor assembly LH with the 2 screws.
