Circuit Description
EGR valve position sensor is mounted on EGR valve and monitors EGR valve pintle position. EGR valve pintle position is dependent upon engine operating conditions. DTC P1410 is set if there is an open or short in EGR valve position sensor circuit. Possible causes are
- Open Or Short In EGR Valve Position Sensor Circuit
- EGR Valve Position Sensor
- ECM
Note. If DTC P0110, P0115, P0120 and P1410 are output together, inspect ECM terminal E2 (ground) circuit for an open. Repair as necessary. See appropriate wiring diagram in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
