DTC P1130 & P1350: OXYGEN SENSOR CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE MALFUNCTION (CALIFORNIA MODELS) Lexus ES XV20

Note. Bank No. 1 refers to bank that includes cylinder No. 1. Bank No. 2 refers to bank without cylinder No. 1. Sensor No. 1 refers to sensor closest to engine block.

CAUTIONIf ECM replacement is instructed in following testing, always ensure ECM harness connector and ground circuit are okay. If either are suspect, repair and repeat testing to confirm ECM malfunction.

Circuit Description

The oxygen sensor monitors exhaust gas oxygen content and delivers an input signal to ECM. The ECM uses this input signal to determine fuel injection system operation. Sensors include heater. DTC P1130 and P1150 are set when, after engine has reached operating temperature and is running, ECM detects oxygen sensor input voltage of 3.8 volts or more, or 2.8 volts or less. DTC P1130 and P1150 are also set when, after engine has reached operating temperature and is running, ECM detects oxygen sensor input voltage of 3.3 volts. Possible causes are

  1. Open Or Short In Oxygen Sensor Circuit
  2. Heated Oxygen Sensor
  3. ECM.
