Power switch Transponder key amplifierTransmits the power switch signal to the power management control ECU. Informs the driver of the power source mode or system abnormality with the illumination stage of the indicator light. Receives the ID code and transmits it to the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) when the key battery is low.
Certification ECUPerforms key verification. Controls the electrical key antenna (outside), electrical key antenna (indoor) and door lock/unlock sensor. Receives the open signal from the back door opener switch and outputs a signal to the main body ECU via CAN communication. Outputs smart entry door lock/unlock commands. Transmits the gearshift control lock/unlock command signals to the transmission control ECU assembly. Outputs immobilizer set/unset commands. Controls the security indicator light and power switch indicator. Forms the smart entry detection area.
ID code boxReceives gearshift control unlock or engine immobilizer unset signals from the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), certifies them, and transmits each unset signal to transmission control ECU assembly or power management control ECU.
Power management control ECUChanges the power source mode in 4 stages (off, on (ACC), on (IG), on (READY) in accordance with the shift state and stop light switch. Controls the push-button start function in accordance with signals received from switches and ECUs. The power management control ECU and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) permit starting of the hybrid control system after receiving an unlock signal from the transmission control ECU.
Transmission control ECU assemblyLocks/unlocks gearshift control based on lock/unlock request signals from the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly). Detects gearshift control lock/unlock status and transmits it to other ECUs. Activates the shift control actuator based on signals from the power management control ECU when gearshift control is unlocked. Controls the application timing of current to the parking lock motor based on signals from the rotation angle sensor.
Combination meterOperates various warnings (messages on the multi-information display, sounding of the buzzer in the combination meter, blinking or illumination of the master warning light) according to the command signals from the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly). Displays information when the smart access system with push-button start has a malfunction. Outputs a vehicle speed signal to the main body ECU.
Security indicator lightBlinks when the engine immobilizer system is set (the hybrid control system cannot be started) according to certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) control (immobilizer function).
IG, ACC relayTurns on/off according to power management control ECU control and provides power to each system.

Front door outside handle assembly LH/RHSends request signals from the door electrical oscillator via the built-in electrical key antenna and forms the vehicle exterior detection area. Uses the built-in touch sensor to detect the operation of the front door outside handle assembly and sends signals to the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) (entry unlock function).

CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS

  1. CUSTOMIZE SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START (for Start Function) HINT: The following items can be customized. NOTE: When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized. Record the current settings before customizing. Customizing with the Techstream Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Smart key/Access or Warning. Select the setting by referring to the table below. Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU Ignition Available Area (Entry ignition available area) All Function that sets the area that the key must be in before the power switch can be operated. Front or All Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) Key Low Battery Warning (Warn when key battery becomes weak) ON Enables or disables the sounding of the buzzer when the key battery is low and the power switch is turned off after being on (IG) for 20 minutes or more. ON or OFF Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) Customizing with the multi-display (w/Navigation System (for HDD)) Turn the power switch on (IG). Enter the following menus: Setup / Vehicle / Vehicle Customization. Select the setting by referring to the table below. Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU Access System with Elec. Key On Function that enables or disables the smart access system with push-button start. On or Off Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) Customizing with the Combination meter assembly (w/o Navigation System (for HDD)) HINT: Press and hold the DISP switch (steering pad switch assembly) when entering an item. Briefly press the DISP switch (steering pad switch assembly) when selecting an item. Turn the power switch on (IG). Enter the following menus: Settings / Vehicle Settings Select the setting by referring to the table below. Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU ACCESS SYSTEM WITH ELEC. KEY ON Function that enables or disables the smart access system with push-button start. ON or OFF Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) Press and hold the DISP (steering pad switch assembly). The setting completion screen will be displayed. Return to the item selection screen. Entry cancel function (manual operation) NOTE: Because the key (for card type) does not have a wireless transmitter function, it cannot be used to change the entry unlock mode. HINT: While the smart access system with push-button start is canceled, it is possible to lock and unlock the doors with the wireless operation, and the start system can be operated by holding the key against the power switch. The following functions are disabled when the smart access system with push-button start is canceled. Entry unlock/lock functions Push start function Key lock-in prevention function Entry warning functions When canceling the system through manual operation: Make sure the following conditions are met: The power switch is off. The driver door is closed. The driver door is unlocked. Press the unlock button of the key. Open the driver door within 5 seconds of completing the step above (driver door: closed at beginning of step --> opened). With the driver door open, press the unlock button of the key 2 times within 5 seconds of completing the step above. NOTE: If the driver door is closed before or while pressing the unlock button, the entry cancel setting mode will end. Close and open the driver door twice within 30 seconds of completing the above step (driver door: open at beginning of step --> closed --> opened --> closed --> opened). With the driver door open, press the unlock button of the key 2 times within 30 seconds of completing the step above. NOTE: If the driver door is closed before or while pressing the unlock button, the entry cancel setting mode will end. Close and open the driver door within 30 seconds of completing the step above (driver door: open at beginning of step --> closed --> opened). Close the driver door within 5 seconds of completing the above step. Check that the wireless buzzer sounds twice (short beeps) to confirm that the smart access system with push-button start has been canceled. Perform the following procedure to restore the smart access system with push-button start to the active state from the canceled state. Perform the procedures to cancel the smart access system with push-button start again. Check that the wireless buzzer sounds once (short beep) to confirm that the smart access system with push-button start has been restored to the active state. HINT: The system changes between the canceled state and the active state each time the procedure to cancel the system through manual operation is performed. The buzzer sounds twice when the system changes from the active state to the canceled state, and sounds once when the system changes from the canceled state to the active state.
