DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction in the IG1 drive circuit, IG2 drive circuit or IG hold circuit in the power management control ECU is detected.

HINT

  1. When the power management control ECU is replaced with a new one and the cable is connected to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, the power source mode changes to on (IG).
  2. When the auxiliary battery cable is disconnected and reconnected, the power source returns to the mode it was in before the auxiliary battery cable was disconnected.

This DTC is stored when there is a problem in the ACC output circuit. The ACC circuit is the circuit that goes from inside the power management control ECU to the ACC relay.

HINT

  1. When the power management control ECU is replaced with a new one and the cable is connected to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, the power source mode changes to on (IG).
  2. When the auxiliary battery cable is disconnected and reconnected, the power source returns to the mode it was in before the auxiliary battery cable was disconnected.

This DTC is stored when a malfunction in the ACC output circuit between the ACC output terminal of the power management control ECU and the ACC relay is detected.

HINT

  1. A voltage of 12 V or 5 V is output from each ECU and then input to the combination meter. The signal is changed to a pulse signal at the transistor in the combination meter. Each ECU controls the respective system based on the pulse signal.
  2. If a short occurs in an ECU, all systems in the diagram above will not operate normally.

The power management control ECU receives brake signal information from 2 sources. It receives a signal from the stop light switch assembly via a direct line, and a signal from the skid control ECU assembly via CAN communication. If the information from these 2 sources is inconsistent, this DTC will be stored.

When the key is inside the vehicle, the hybrid control system does not start even though a hybrid control system start operation is performed (the power switch indicator does not illuminate in green). However, if the power switch is pressed and held for a certain period of time after the power source mode is changed to on (ACC), the hybrid control system can be started. When a direct line ON malfunction is present, the hybrid control system can be started by pressing the power switch even if the brakes are off. When a direct line OFF malfunction is present, the hybrid control system cannot be started by pressing the power switch even if the brakes are on.

Use this troubleshooting procedure when the power source mode does not change to on (IG) but does change to on (ACC).

When the key is in the vehicle and the power switch is pressed, the power management control ECU receives a signal and changes the power source mode.

Use this troubleshooting procedure when the power source mode does not change to on (ACC) but does change to on (IG).

When the electronic key is in the cabin and the power switch is pressed, the power management control ECU receives a signal and changes the power source mode. In addition, when the power switch is pressed with park (P) selected and the brake pedal depressed, the hybrid system turns on (READY).
