- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the rear wheels and tires
- Using the Land Rover approved diagnostic system, depressurize the air suspension. Refer to «AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZE AND PRESSURIZE»(/land-rover/range-rover/l322-2005-2009/remont/electronic-suspension/#vehicle-dynamic-suspension__air-suspension-system-depressurize-pressurize) .
- Remove the rear driveshaft. Refer to «REAR DRIVESHAFT - 3.6L (TDV8) DIESEL»(/land-rover/range-rover/l322-2005-2009/remont/driveshaft-universal-joints/#driveshaft) .
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the LH and RH rear height sensors.
- Release the LH and RH brake pipes. Remove the 4 bolts.
- Release the LH and RH anti-lock brake system (ABS) wiring harnesses. Release the brake pad wear sensor wiring harness. Release from the 12 clips.
- Release the 2 air suspension lines. Release from the 2 clips.
- Using suitable hydraulic jacks, support the lower arms.
- Release the LH and RH rear shock absorbers from the lower suspension arms. Remove the 2 nuts and bolts.
- Using a suitable hydraulic jack, support the rear subframe.
- Remove the 2 diagonally opposite subframe mounting bolts. Remove the 2 special washers.
- Use the rear shock absorber bolts to support the rear subframe. Install the special washers. Install the bolts to a minimum depth of 16 mm (0.63 inches).
- Release the rear subframe. Remove the 2 bolts. Remove the 2 special washers. Lower the subframe by a maximum of 100 mm (3.94 inches). Remove the 4 spacers.
- Install the special tools, to the rear subframe bushes.
- Using the special tool, remove the rear subframe bushes. Remove the special tool.
INSTALLATION
- Position the rear subframe bush. Install the special tools.
- Using the special tool, install the rear subframe bush.
- Repeat the procedure on the bush diagonally opposite.
- Raise the rear subframe. Remove the 2 bolts. Install the bolts to a minimum depth of 16 mm (0.63 inches) through the opposite bushes.
- Lower the subframe by a maximum of 100 mm (3.94 inches).
- Remove and install the remaining 2 bushes.
- Raise the rear subframe and locate on the dowels. Install the spacers. Remove the bolts supporting the rear subframe.
- Secure the rear subframe. Install the special washers. Tighten the bolts to 165 Nm (122 lb.ft).
- Secure the LH and RH rear shock absorbers to the lower suspension arms. Tighten the nuts and bolts to 110 Nm (81 lb.ft).
- Secure the air suspension lines. Secure in the clips.
- Secure the LH and RH ABS wiring harnesses. Secure the brake pad wear sensor wiring harness. Secure in the clips.
- Secure the LH and RH brake pipes. Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm (4 lb.ft).
- Connect the electrical connectors to the LH and RH rear height sensors.
- Install the rear driveshaft. Refer to «REAR DRIVESHAFT - 3.6L (TDV8) DIESEL»(/land-rover/range-rover/l322-2005-2009/remont/driveshaft-universal-joints/#driveshaft) .
- Using the Land Rover approved diagnostic system, pressurize the air suspension. Refer to «AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZE AND PRESSURIZE»(/land-rover/range-rover/l322-2005-2009/remont/electronic-suspension/#vehicle-dynamic-suspension__air-suspension-system-depressurize-pressurize) .
- Install the rear wheels and tires. Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm (103 lb.ft).
- Lower the vehicle.

REMOVAL
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the rear wheels and tires
- Using the Land Rover approved diagnostic system, depressurize the air suspension. Refer to «AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZE AND PRESSURIZE»(/land-rover/range-rover/l322-2005-2009/remont/electronic-suspension/#vehicle-dynamic-suspension__air-suspension-system-depressurize-pressurize) .
- Remove the rear driveshaft. Refer to «REAR DRIVESHAFT - 4.2L/4.4L»(/land-rover/range-rover/l322-2005-2009/remont/driveshaft-universal-joints/#driveshaft) .

- Release the LH and RH brake pipes. Remove the 4 bolts.
