Engine Emission Control: Overview Land Rover Freelander II facelift

OVERVIEW

The engine crankcase is ventilated through a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve located on the camshaft cover. The crankcase gasses are transferred internally to the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV). The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve prevents reverse airflow into the crankcase.

PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

For a detailed description of the engine emissions systems, refer to the relevant Description and Operation workshop information. Refer to ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL - 3.2L .
