REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Note. Removal and installation procedures for Sephia are not available from manufacturer.
Removal (Sportage)
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove power window switch from armrest. See «WINDOW SWITCH»(ref-4305-S33409031342000061900000) . Remove inner door handle screw. Pull handle out part way. Disconnect handle rod and remove inner handle. Remove screw cap and screw from bottom of armrest pocket. Remove door panel trim and pull handle bracket. Remove door speaker. Carefully peel back plastic water shield.
- Temporarily reconnect window switch and negative battery cable. Turn ignition on and lower window completely. Turn ignition off. Remove inner and outer window strips. Turn ignition on and position window at half-way position.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove 2 glass-mounting bolts from window regulator. Remove window glass carefully by tilting it toward hinge side of door and removing from outer side of door frame.
- Unplug window motor harness connector. Remove regulator-to-door frame nuts. Remove window motor regulator assembly from access hole in door. Unbolt and remove glass guide and bolt.
Installation
- Install window motor regulator assembly through access hole in door. Tighten regulator mounting nuts to 97 INCH lbs. (11 N.m). Reconnect window motor harness connector.
- Install window glass by tilting toward hinge side of door. Place glass on small bracket on window regulator. Loosely install 2 window-to-regulator bolts. Reconnect window switch and negative battery cable.
- Turn ignition on and operate window up and down to ensure correct operation. Tighten window-to-regulator bolts to 53 INCH lbs. (6 N.m). Tighten glass guide bolt to 84 INCH lbs. (9.5 N.m). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Sportage)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove screw cap and screw from bottom of door armrest pocket. Place fingers through armrest access hole and release window switch. Remove window switch and disconnect switch harness connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
