1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the center facia upper panel (A). Take care of fixing clips (C).
3. Remove the connectors of digital clock and hazard switch (B).
4. Remove the mounting screws then remove the audio unit (A).
5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

2. Remove the tweeter speaker after disconnecting the connector (A). Take care of fixing clips (C).

1. Troubleshooting for Speaker Basic inspection of speaker Inspect the sound from speaker after verifying that the speaker mounting screws is removed and the wiring connector is connected precisely to remove vibration transmitted from body trims and surrounding parts. Case Troubleshooting CASE TROUBLESHOOTING CHART No. Case Inspection/Remedy 1 Trembling sound Before replacing the speaker, inspect that the mounting screw is installed normally. After re-installing the speaker, verify that no trembling sound is heard. When hearing a trembling sound again, replace the speaker with new one. 2 Noise Check if the wiring connector is connected normally. If not, reconnect the wiring connector. In case of radio static, check if there is a noise from CD. When a noise is heard on turning radio and CD on, replace the speaker with new one. NOTE: In case there is only radio static, this causes from poor radio reception. Thus the speaker needs no repair and replacement. 3 Poor working Inspection of the wiring connection between the battery and the speaker Before replacing the speaker, inspect the wiring connection between the battery and the speaker is normal. Check the supplying power to the speaker and the resistance, then inspect the sound quality. Specified impedance : 2 ~ 4ohms If the speaker works poorly, replace it with new one. CAUTION: During dealing of speaker Do not damage the speaker with impact as like a drop and a throw. Be careful not to cover water and oil over the speaker. Caution during dealing of speaker because the material of diaphragm is paper which is easy to be torn by impact and external force. When modifying audio system as customer pleases, this does electric damage to speaker. And, in this case the speakers are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

1. Remove the rear roof trim (Refer to «ROOF TRIM»(ref-378954-S27316972512010113000000) ).
2. Disconnect the 1P connector (A) and antenna jack (B) from the roof antenna.
3. Remove the roof antenna after removing a nut.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

1. Remove the antenna jack from the audio unit and antenna.
2. Check for continuity between the center poles of antenna cable.
3. Check for continuity between the outer poles of antenna cable. There should be continuity.
4. If there is no continuity, replace the antenna cable.
5. Check for continuity between the center pole (A) and outer pole (B) of antenna cable. There should be no continuity.
6. If there is continuity, replace the antenna cable.

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the driver airbag module (A). (Refer to the «DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING»(ref-378950-S02102440102010113000000) )
3. Remove the steering wheel after loosening the nut and disconnecting the connector (A).
4. Loosen the screws (4EA) on the opposite side of the steering wheel.
5. Disconnect the audio remote control switch connector (A).
6. Remove the audio remote control switch (B).

Activation

In order to extend or reactivate your subscription to SIRIUS Satellite Radio, you will need to contact SIRIUS Customer Care at 888-539-7474.

Have your 12 digit SID (Sirius Identification Number)/ESN (Electronic Serial Number) ready.

To retrieve the SID/ESN, turn on the radio, press the [SAT] button and tune to channel zero.

Please note that the vehicle will need to be turned on, in Sirius mode, and have an unobstructed view of the sky in order for the radio to receive the activation signal.

1. SATELLITE RADIO Selection Button (SIRIUS Satellite Radio)

Press the [SAT] button to switch to SIRIUS Satellite Radio. It cycles through the different bands as noted below. SAT1 --> SAT2 --> SAT3 --> SAT1 -->...

2. Channel Selection Button

1. Press [TRACKv] or [SEEK ] button Press [TRACKv] or [SEEK ] button previous or next channel.
2. Press [TRACKv] or [SEEK ] button for 0.8 or longer to continuously move to previous or next channel.
3. If "CATEGORY" Icon is displayed at the top of the screen, channel up/down is done through the channels within current category.

3. Preset Selection Button

1. Push [1]~[6] buttons less than 0.8 second to play the channel saved in each button.
2. Hold down the preset button for 0.8 second or longer to save current channel. An audible beep will play to confirm the preset is stored.

4. SCAN Button

1. When the button is pressed, it automatically scans the radio stations upwards.
2. The SCAN feature steps through each channel, starting from the initial channel, for ten seconds.
3. Press the [SCAN] button again to stop the scan feature and to listen to the currently selected channel.
4. If "CATEGORY" Icon is displayed at the top of the screen, channel changing is done through the channels in current category.

5. TUNE Knob and ENTER Button

While listening to SIRIUS broadcast, rotate this knob to the right or left to search other channels while listening to current channels and push this knob to select what you want to listen to. (Turn to the right to search higher channels and left lower channels)

6. CAT/FOLDER Button

1. Press [CAT ] or [FOLDERv] button to enter the Category List Mode, it displays category items and highlights the category that currently tuned channel belongs to.
2. On Category List Mode, press these buttons to navigate category list.
3. Press [ENTER] Button to select the lowest channel in highlighted category.
4. If channel is selected by selecting CATEGORY Icon is displayed at the top of the screen.

7. INFO Selection Button

Displays the information of the channel currently played by in the order of Artist/Song title --> Category/Channel name --> Composer (if available) --> Artist/Song title --> Category/Channel name -->... (ART/TITLE Selection)

Displays the information of the channel currently played by in the order of Category/Channel name --> Artist/Song title --> Composer (if available) --> Category/Channel name --> Artist/Song title -->... (CAT/CH Selection) (If there is no information of COMPOSER NAME, it returns to main display.)

8. SETUP Button

Press this button to adjust to the SCROLL, SDVC, SIRIUS and adjustment mode. If no action is taken for 5 seconds after pressing the button, it will return to the previous radio mode. (After entering SETUP mode, move between items using the left, right and PUSH functions of the TUNE button.)

The setup item changes from SCROLL --> SDVC --> SIRIUS --> SCROLL -->...

1. Antenna Error

If this message is displayed, the antenna or antenna cable is broken or unplugged. Please consult with your Kia dealership.

2. Acquiring Signal

If this message is displayed, it means that the antenna is covered and that the SIRIUS Satellite Radio signal is not available. Ensure the antenna is uncovered and has a clear view of the sky.
