FAILURE DIAGNOSIS
- In principle, ESC and TCS controls are prohibited in case of ABS failure.
- When ESC or TCS fails, only the failed system control is prohibited.
- However, when the solenoid valve relay should be turned off in case of ESC failure, refer to «ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM)»(ref-266015) .
- Information on ABS fail-safe is identical to the fail-safe in systems where ESC is not installed.
SELF-DIAGNOSIS
- Initial self-diagnosis is performed at key ON. (Additional initial diagnostics are performed when the vehicle exceeds 5 mph (8 km/h) with the brake switch OFF, and when the vehicle exceeds 24.9 mph (40 km/h). The motor and valves may activate during these initial diagnostic routines.)
- Normal system self-diagnosis is performed as long as the ignition key remain ON.
