1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the center air vent (B) using the SST (A) (09840-1M100). (For Coupe, refer to «CRASH PAD»(ref-362224-S30236245892010060400000) . For Sedan, refer to «CRASH PAD»(ref-362245-S13817783762010060400000) .) CAUTION: Always use the SST (09840-1M100) to prevent the damage when removing the air vent. (For Coupe, refer to «CRASH PAD»(ref-362224-S30236245892010060400000) . For Sedan, refer to «CRASH PAD»(ref-362245-S13817783762010060400000) .)
3. Remove the crash pad center fascia panel (A). NOTE: Take care not to scratch the crash pad and related parts.
4. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the crash pad center fascia panel and heater control unit.
5. Remove the mounting bolts (4EA) then remove the audio unit (A).
6. Disconnect the audio connectors and cable (A).

Advanced lighting speaker

The advanced lighting speaker, which lights up around the front speaker, is adjusted by turning the knob.

1. ON : The light turns on.
2. MOOD : The light shade changes automatically at regular interval.
3. MUSIC : The light blinks or changes shade according to the sound of audio.
4. OFF : The light turns off.
5. +/- : When the lights are on, push the illumination button to adjust the light intensity.

3. Remove the pin (A) of hinge in direction of the arrow.
4. Remove the mood lamp switch (A) after loosening the screws (4EA).

Mood Lamp

1. Install the mood lamp.
2. Install the front door trim.

Mood Lamp Switch

1. Install the mood lamp switch.
2. Install the pin of hinge.
3. Check the operation of mood lamp.

Front Speaker

1. Install the front speaker and connect the speaker connector.
2. Install the front door trim.

Rear Speaker

1. Install the rear speaker and connect the speaker connector.
2. Install the rear door trim.

Tweeter Speaker

1. Install the tweeter speaker after connecting the tweeter speaker connector.
2. Install the front door delta cover.

1. Troubleshooting for Speaker Basic inspection of speaker Inspect the sound from the speaker after verifying that the speaker mounting screws are removed and the wiring connector is connected precisely, in order to remove vibration transmitted from body trims and surrounding parts. Case Troubleshooting CASE TROUBLESHOOTING No. Case Inspection/Remedy 1 Trembling sound Before replacing the speaker, inspect that the mounting screw is installed normally. After re-installing the speaker, verify that no trembling sound is heard. When hearing a trembling sound again, replace the speaker with new one. 2 Noise Check if the wiring connector is connected normally. If not, reconnect the wiring connector. In case of radio static, check if there is a noise from CD. When a noise is heard with radio on, and CD on, replace the speaker with a new one. NOTE: If there is only radio static, the cause is poor radio reception. Thus, the speaker needs no repair and replacement. 3 Poor working Inspection of the wiring connection between the battery and the speaker Before replacing the speaker, inspect the wiring connection between the battery and the speaker is normal. Check the supplying power to the speaker and the resistance, then inspect the sound quality. Specified impedance : 2 ~ 4ohms 3. If the speaker works poorly, replace it with a new one. CAUTION: During handling of speaker: Do not damage the speaker from impact, as by dropping or throwing the speaker. Be careful not to allow water or oil to come into contact with the speaker. Use caution during handling of speaker, since the diaphragm material is paper which is easily torn by impact or external force. When modifying audio system as customer pleases, electric damage to speaker may occur. In this case, the speakers will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Multi Media Jack

1. Install the Multi Media Jack.
2. Connect the Multi Media Jack connector.
3. Install the under cover to the floor console.

Activation

In order to extend or reactivate your subscription to SIRIUS Satellite Radio, you will need to contact SIRIUS Customer Care at 888-539-7474.

Have your 12 digit SID (Sirius Identification Number)/ESN (Electronic Serial Number) ready.

To retrieve the SID/ESN, turn on the radio, press the [SAT] button and tune to channel zero.

Please note that the vehicle will need to be turned on, in Sirius mode, and have an unobstructed view of the sky in order for the radio to receive the activation signal.

1. SATELLITE RADIO Selection Button (SIRIUS Satellite Radio)

Press the [SAT] button to switch to SIRIUS Satellite Radio. It cycles through the different bands as noted below.

SAT1 --> SAT2 --> SAT3 --> SAT1 -->...

2. Channel Selection Button

1. Press [TRACK] or [SEEK] button for previous or next channel.
2. Press [TRACK] or [SEEK] button for 0.8 or longer to continuously move to previous or next channel.
3. If "CATEGORY" Icon is displayed at the top of the screen, channel up/down is done through the channels within current category.

3. Preset Selection Button

1. Push [1]~[6] buttons less than 0.8 second to play the channel saved in each button.
2. Hold down the preset button for 0.8 second or longer to save current channel. An audible beep will play to confirm the preset is stored.

4. SCAN Button

1. When the button is pressed, it automatically scans the radio stations upwards.
2. The SCAN feature steps through each channel, starting from the initial channel, for ten seconds.
3. Press the [SCAN] button again to stop the scan feature and to listen to the currently selected channel.
4. If "CATEGORY" Icon is displayed at the top of the screen, channel changing is done through the channels in the current category.

5. TUNE Knob and ENTER Button

While listening to SIRIUS broadcast, rotate this knob to the right or left to search other channels while listening to current channels, and push this knob to select what you want to listen to. (Turn to the right to search higher channels, and turn to the left to search lower channels)

6. CAT/FOLDER Button

1. Press [CAT] or [FOLDER] button to enter the Category List Mode, which displays category items and highlights the category that the currently tuned channel belongs to.
2. On Category List Mode, press these buttons to navigate category list.
3. Press [ENTER] Button to select the lowest channel in the highlighted category.
4. If channel is selected by selecting category, the CATEGORY Icon is displayed at the top of the screen.

7. INFO Selection Button

Displays the information of the channel currently played by in the order of Artist/Song title --> Category/Channel name --> Composer (if available) --> Artist/Song title --> Category/Channel name -->... (ART/TITLE Selection)

Displays the information of the channel currently played by in the order of Category/Channel name --> Artist/Song title --> Composer (if available) --> Category/Channel name --> Artist/Song title -->... (CAT/CH Selection) (If there is no information of COMPOSER NAME, it returns to main display.)

8. SETUP Button

Press this button to adjust to the SCROLL, SDVC, SIRIUS, and adjustment mode. If no action is taken for 5 seconds after pressing the button, it will return to the previous radio mode. (After entering SETUP mode, move between items using the left, right, and PUSH functions of the TUNE button.)

The setup item changes from SCROLL --> SDVC --> SIRIUS --> SCROLL -->...

1. Antenna Error

If this message is displayed, the antenna or antenna cable is broken or unplugged. Please consult with your Kia dealership.

2. Acquiring Signal

If this message is displayed, it means that the antenna is covered or does not have a clear view of the sky, and that the SIRIUS Satellite Radio signal is not available.

Ensure the antenna is uncovered and has a clear view of the sky.
