Engine Oil Change: Removal & Installation Jeep Liberty II

Mechanical

REMOVAL

Remove the oil pan and pick-up tube. See «Engine/Lubrication/PAN, Oil - Removal»(ref-350033-S06027367112009121400000) .
Remove the timing chain cover. See «Engine/Valve Timing/COVER(S), Engine Timing - Removal»(ref-350033-S09176476182009121400000) .
Remove the timing chains and tensioners. Refer to «Engine/Valve Timing/SPROCKET(S), Timing Belt and Chain - Removal»(ref-350035-S32883076372009121400000) .
Remove the four bolts, primary timing chain tensioner and the oil pump.
