- (F943) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN-START) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND Turn the ignition off. NOTE: The AHBM is part of the Rearview Mirror. Disconnect the AHBM (Rearview Mirror) harness connector. Measure the resistance between ground and the (F943) Fused Ignition Switch Output (Run-Start) circuit. Is the resistance below 10K Ohms? Yes Repair the short to ground in the (F943) Fused Ignition Run/Start circuit. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(/jeep/grand-cherokee/wk2-2010-2013/remont/communication-devices/#totally-integrated-power-module-tipm-body-verification-test) . No Inspect the wiring and connectors for damage or shorted circuits. If OK, replace and program the AHBM (Rearview Mirror) in accordance with the Service Information. - (F943) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN-START) CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE Turn the ignition off. Remove Fuse M15 from the TIPM. Disconnect the AHBM (Rearview Mirror) harness connector. Turn the ignition on. Measure the voltage of the (F943) Fused Ignition Switch Output (Run-Start) circuit. Is there any voltage present? Yes Repair the short to voltage in the (F943) Fused Ignition Switch Output (Run-Start) circuit. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to «STANDARD PROCEDURE»(/jeep/grand-cherokee/wk2-2010-2013/remont/communication-devices/#totally-integrated-power-module-tipm-body-verification-test) . No Inspect the wiring and connectors for damage or shorted circuits. If OK, replace the TIPM in accordance with the Service Information. Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. NOTE: Inspect the fuses in the TIPM. If an open fuse is found, use the wire diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for damage. Turn the ignition on. With the scan tool, read active PCM DTCs. Does the scan tool display any active PCM DTCs?
