FLOOR JACK
Vehicle may be raised by positioning jack under front or rear frame rails. (Scheme 2)
Note. Use subframe rail lift points to hoist vehicle. Never raise vehicle with jack under axle tubes, body side sills, steering linkage components, drive shafts, engine/transmission oil pans, fuel tank or front suspension arms.

EMERGENCY JACKING
Park vehicle on a firm, level surface. Block tire diagonally opposite tire being changed. Place automatic transmission in Park or manual transmission in Reverse. Set parking brake. Position emergency jack under front or rear frame rail or rear axle housing. Raise vehicle.
HOIST
Vehicle may be raised on single or twin post swiveling arm, or ramp-type drive hoists. If using swiveling arm hoist, ensure lifting pads are positioned evenly at subframe lift points. (Scheme 2) All hoists should be equipped with proper adapters to support vehicle at frame rails only.
CAMBER MEASUREMENT
Check camber to determine if any components are bent or damaged. Camber angle is not adjustable and cannot be altered. If angle is not to specification, components causing problem must be replaced. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
Cherokee
Check caster angle. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS. If caster is not to specification, adjust by adding or removing shims at rear of lower control arms. (Scheme 3)
Grand Cherokee & Wrangler
Check caster angle. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS. If caster is not to specification, adjust by loosening and rotating adjustment cams on lower control arms. (Scheme 4)
