RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Note. Limited information available from manufacturer.
Note. Prior to performing wheel alignment, perform preliminary visual and mechanical inspection of wheels, tires and suspension components.
FRONT CAMBER ADJUSTMENTS
Note. The vehicle should be empty and at curb weight with a full fuel tank when checking and adjusting wheel alignment. The vehicle must be checked to establish that it conforms to the Jaguar original specification, such as wheels, tires, tire pressures, etc.
- Following the alignment equipment manufacturer's instructions, measure the suspension geometry. Contact Jaguar Technical Support for assistance if necessary. Technical Support will give advice on the course of action to be taken to rectify the problem.
- Loosen the rear lower control arm lock nut. (Scheme 2).
- Rotate the camber adjustment cam bolt to adjust the camber, as necessary. Rotating the camber adjustment cam bolt through 90 degrees from the 6 o'clock position, so that the indicator strip is outboard of the bolt center, will cause the lower control arm rear to move outward. This will, depending on original camber angle, either decrease the positive camber or increase the negative camber. Rotating the camber adjustment cam bolt through 90 degrees from the 6 o'clock position, so that the indicator strip is inboard of the bolt center, will cause the lower control arm to move inward. This will, depending on original camber angle, either increase the positive camber or decrease the negative camber.
- Recheck the camber settings. Readjust the camber as necessary to achieve proper alignment specifications. See «WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-163422-S12603858742004062900000).
- Ensuring that the camber adjustment cam bolt does not turn, tighten the lock nut to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-163422-S14737895022004062900000).

FRONT CASTER ADJUSTMENT
Note. The vehicle should be empty and at curb weight with a full fuel tank when checking and adjusting wheel alignment. The vehicle must be checked to establish that it conforms to the Jaguar original specification, such as wheels, tires, tire pressures, etc. If a vehicle has a suspension geometry problem, all geometry settings must be investigated and corrected before making any adjustments to the caster setting.
Note. Adjustments to the caster will affect caster and toe in. Therefore, the caster and toe settings may need to be adjusted at the same time to achieve the correct settings. Both the left and right toe need to be adjusted when adjusting the caster.
- Following the alignment equipment manufacturer's instructions, measure the suspension geometry. Contact Jaguar Technical Support for assistance if necessary. Technical Support will give advice on the course of action to be taken to rectify the problem.
- Raise front of vehicle and support on stands. See «JACKING & SUPPORTING»(ref-163422-S41779881062004062900000) under LIFTING & JACKING. Remove front wheels.
- Note the position of the shims before removing the control arm bolts. Remove upper control arm bolts, collect washers and shims. (Scheme 3) Secure control arm.
- Caster angle is adjusted by interchanging the shims between the front and rear arm of each wishbone. To calculate the required positioning of the shims needed to adjust the caster angle, see «SHIM PACK APPLICATION»(ref-163422-S32057561092004062900000) table. Adjust shim pack as necessary. To: Increase Positive Caster The shim thickness at the control arm location No. 1 or 3 must be decreased, and location No. 2 or 4 increased by the same amount. (Scheme 4) Decrease Positive Caster The shim thickness at the control arm location No. 1 or 3 must be increased and the rear location No. 2 or 4 decreased by the same amount. (Scheme 4)
- Once shim pack calculations have been made, reinstall upper control arm bolts, collect washers and shims. (Scheme 3)
- Install front wheel. Tighten wheel lug nuts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-163422-S14737895022004062900000). Lower vehicle.
- Following alignment equipment manufacturer's instructions, recheck caster setting. Repeat this procedure if necessary. Check camber and toe settings and adjust as necessary. See «FRONT CAMBER ADJUSTMENTS»(ref-163422-S01513590242004062900000) and/or «FRONT TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT»(ref-163422-S14156456572004062900000).

FRONT TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT
Note. Limited information available from manufacturer.
Note. The vehicle should be empty and at curb weight with a full fuel tank when checking and adjusting wheel alignment. The vehicle must be checked to establish that it conforms to the Jaguar original specification, such as wheels, tires, tire pressures, etc.
Position steering wheel in straight ahead position before adjusting front wheel toe. Evenly adjust toe on both tie rods to maintain centralization of steering wheel. Position alignment checking equipment on the wheels. Following the alignment equipment manufacturer's instructions, check and if necessary adjust front wheel toe to specifications. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
REAR CAMBER ADJUSTMENT
Manufacturer does not provide adjustment procedures for rear camber. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS .
