TROUBLE SHOOTING

CHARGING SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL TEST
- Visually check generator belt and wiring. Turn ignition switch to ON position and observe battery indicator light. If indicator light does not come on, go to next step. If indicator light comes on, go to step 3 .
- Disconnect generator connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between ground and generator connector terminal "L" (White/Blue wire). See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-91530-S33630450502001032400000) . If battery indicator light comes on, replace generator. If battery indicator light does not come on, check for burned out bulb, poor connection or faulty circuit.
- Start engine and observe battery indicator light. If indicator light goes out, system is operating normally. If indicator light does not go out, check charging system. See «CHARGING SYSTEM TEST»(ref-91530-S05296288982001032400000) .
