Maintenance Reminder Light Reset Procedures: Other Infiniti M45 II

Trip Computer

Switches for the trip computer are located on the right side of the combination meter panel. When the ignition switch is pushed to the ON position, modes of the trip computer can be selected by pushing the "A" switch. Each time switch "A" is pushed, the display will change. Resetting is done by pushing the switch "B" for longer than 1 second.

  1. Select SETTING display by pushing switch "A".
  2. Use switch "B" to select MAINTENANCE.
  3. Use switch "B" to select the appropriate catagory to reset.

Infiniti Controller (or Touch Sceen)

  1. Press the INFO button to bring up the information menu.
  2. Select MAINTENANCE and press ENTER.
  3. Select REMINDER 1, 2, 3 or 4 and press ENTER.
  4. Select RESET REMINDER to reset.
  5. If distance to next service needs to be changed, select INTERVAL to change distance until next service.
  6. Set the interval (mileage) of the maintenance schedule. To determine the recommended maintenance interval, refer to your INFINITI Service and Maintenance Guide.
  7. To display the reminder automatically when the set trip distance is reached, highlight the INTERVAL REMINDER key with the INFINITI controller and push the ENTER button.
  8. To return the display to MAINTENANCE INFO, push the BACK button.

Vehicle Information Display

The MAINTENANCE menu allows you to set alerts for maintenance interval reminders for the following

  1. Scheduled Service
  2. Tires
  3. Other
  1. Press button (1). (Scheme 9)
  2. Using ARROW buttons (2), select SETTINGS and press ENTER (2).
  3. Select MAINTENANCE using ARROW buttons (2) and press ENTER (2).
  4. Select appropriate catagory to reset. NOTE: Use BACK button (3) to return to previous menu.

Choose an item on the display by pushing the appropriate edge of the CENTER DIAL upward or downward. Press the ENTER button (center of dial) to select an item.

Note. If you press either of the BACK buttons before the operation is completed, the operation will be canceled and/or the display will return to the previous screen. After the operation is complete, press either of the BACK buttons to return to the previous screen.

  1. Press the INFO button to bring up the information menu.
  2. Select MAINTENANCE and press ENTER.
  3. Changing The Maintenance Interval : Select one of the maintenance reminder keys using the INFINITI controller to display the screen that changes the maintenance interval. You can choose between ENGINE OIL, OIL FILTER, TIRE and OTHER reminder. Select the INTERVAL key using the INFINITI controller. Touch the "+" or "-" keys or tilt the INFINITI controller to choose the desired distance. To accept the changes, press the BACK button. Resetting The Maintenance Interval : To reset the reminder schedule (distance) to 0 mi (km), select the RESET DISTANCE key using the INFINITI controller.

TPMS RESET INDEX

Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration With TPMS Sensor Activation Tool

  1. With the ignition switch in OFF position, connect CONSULT (CONSULT-II with CONSULT-II CONVERTER on older models) to the Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Select "START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)".
  3. Touch "BCM" on "SELECT SYSTEM" screen.
  4. Select "AIR PRESSURE MONITOR" on "SELECT WORK ITEM" screen.
  5. Select "WORK SUPPORT" on "SELECT DIAG MODE" screen, and select "ID REGIST". Select "START" (if available - otherwise, go to next step).
  6. With a TPMS sensor activation tool pushed against the front left tire air valve, press the button for 5 seconds.
  7. Register the IDs in the specified order. See «ID REGISTRATION ORDER SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-161565-S09706345312005042500000) table to determine what signals are used to indicate successful sensor registration.
  8. After completing all ID registrations, press "END" to complete the procedure. NOTE: Be sure to register the IDs in the specified order, or the self-diagnostic results display will not function properly. Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration Without TPMS Sensor Activation Tool

Note. The service data for some models does not include this procedure. This method of tire pressure sensor registration may or may not work with all models.

  1. With the ignition switch in OFF position, connect CONSULT (CONSULT-II with CONSULT-II CONVERTER on older models) to the Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Select "START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)".
  3. Touch "BCM" on "SELECT SYSTEM" screen.
  4. Select "AIR PRESSURE MONITOR" on "SELECT WORK ITEM" screen.
  5. Select "WORK SUPPORT" on "SELECT DIAG MODE" screen, and select "ID REGIST".
  6. Adjust the tire pressure to the specified values for ID registration. See «ID REGISTRATION TIRE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-161565-S12991006262005042500000) table.   7. Drive the vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for a few minutes.
  8. After completing all ID registrations, press "END" on CONSULT to complete the procedure.
  9. Inflate all tires to specification.
