MAINTENANCE INTERVAL

Note. To determine the appropriate reset procedure, refer to MAINTENANCE INTERVAL RESET INDEX . Only vehicles listed in this index have a Maintenance Interval reset.

MAINTENANCE INTERVAL RESET - PROCEDURE 1

Note. This procedure is for vehicles with Navigation System.

1. To set the engine oil maintenance interval, select MAINTENANCE by pressing the TRIP key, then moving the joystick to right or left.
2. To reset the maintenance interval, select the RESET key using the joystick and push the ENTER button.
3. To display the MAINTENANCE INFORMATION, automatically when setting trip distance is reached, select the DISPLAY MAINTENANCE NOTIFICATION key and push the ENTER button. Repeat procedure to set tire rotation interval.

MAINTENANCE INTERVAL RESET - PROCEDURE 2

Note. This procedure is for vehicles without Navigation System.

Pushing MAINT button will change the maintenance menu as follows: ENGINE OIL ! TIRE ROTATION ! TIRE PRESSURE (if equipped).

Scheme 4

1. To reset the driving distance, push the MAINT button or TRIP RESET button for more than 1.5 seconds.
2. To set the distance, push the joystick to left or right.
3. To automatically display the Maintenance menu (ENGINE OIL or TIRE ROTATION) when the vehicle is driven the set distance turn ON the service alert key.
4. When the vehicle is driven the set distance MAINTENANCE screen will be automatically displayed and the Maintenance menu (ENGINE OIL and TIRE ROTATION) will blink.
5. To return to the previous display after Maintenance Notice message is displayed, push the PREV button.

The MAINTENANCE NOTICE screen displays each time the key is turned ON until one of the following conditions are met

1. MAINT button or TRIP RESET button is pushed.
2. SERVICE ALERT KEY is set OFF.
3. The maintenance interval is set again.

To set MAINTENANCE INFO for ENGINE OIL, OIL FILTER or TIRE ROTATION, push the INFO button, then choose item using the information center joystick and push the ENTER button. (Scheme 5) To set engine oil change interval, go to next step.

Scheme 5

1. Reset the driving distance to the new maintenance schedule. (Scheme 6)
2. Set the interval (mileage) of the maintenance schedule. To determine the recommended maintenance interval, refer to your INFINITI Service & Maintenance Guide.
3. Use the same procedure to set the other maintenance information items. To display MAINTENANCE INFO, automatically when setting trip distance is reached, select DISPLAY MAINTENANCE NOTIFICATION key and push the ENTER button.
4. To return the display to MAINTENANCE INFO, push the PREV button.

Note. Maintenance information display cannot be operated when the vehicle is moving. Stop the vehicle in a safe place to view information.

To access and reset maintenance reminders, use either the Trip Computer, or the Infiniti Controller (or Touch Sceen).

Note. There are 5 submenus under the maintenance menu. (Scheme 7) BACK: Return to the top page of the setting mode. ENGINE OIL: Reset the distance for changing the engine oil. OIL FILTER: Set or reset the distance for replacing the oil filter. TIRE: Set or reset the distance for replacing tires. OTHER: Set or reset the distance for replacing items other than the engine oil, oil filter and tires.

Note. This procedure is for vehicles with Navigation System.

Maintenance and tire pressure information (if so equipped) will be displayed when the "MAINT" button is pushed.

To display the setting of the maintenance interval, select the "Engine Oil" or "Tire Rotation" key using the INFINITI controller and push the ENTER button.

To set the maintenance interval, select the "Maintenance Schedule" key by using the INFINITI controller and move the INFINITI controller to the right or left.

To reset the maintenance interval, select the "Reset" key using the INFINITI controller and push the ENTER button.

To display the MAINTENANCE NOTICE, automatically when setting trip distance is reached, select the "Display Maintenance Notification" key and push the ENTER button.

Note. This procedure is for vehicles without Navigation System.

When the "TRIP" button is pushed, the following modes will display on the screen: Warning message (if there are any); TRIP 1; TRIP 2; FUEL ECONOMY; MAINTENANCE.

Under MAINTENANCE, you can set the engine oil and the tire rotation interval. And the tire pressure will appear on the screen (if the tire pressure system is equipped).

To display the setting of the maintenance interval, select the "Engine Oil" or "Tire Rotation" key using the INFINITI controller and push the ENTER button.

To set the maintenance interval, select the "Maintenance Schedule" key by using the INFINITI controller and move the INFINITI controller to the right or left.

To reset the maintenance interval, select the "Reset" key using the INFINITI controller and push the ENTER button.

To display the MAINTENANCE NOTICE automatically when setting trip distance is reached, select the "Display Maintenance Notification" key and push the ENTER button.

To access and reset maintenance reminders, use either the Trip Computer or the Infiniti Controller (or Touch Sceen).

TPMS RESET - PROCEDURE 1

Note. The low tire pressure warning light does not automatically turn off when the tire pressure is adjusted. After the tire is inflated to the recommended pressure, the vehicle must be driven at speeds above 25 mph (40 km/h) for a few minutes to activate the TPMS and turn off the low tire pressure warning light. A TPMS sensor activation tool can also be used in place of driving. See Tire Pressure Sensor Wake-Up Operation .

Note. The manufacturer's TPMS sensor activation tools are designated Tire Pressure Sensor Activation Tool (J-45295), and Signal Tech II Tool (J-50190). Either can be used, as can be a generic sensor activation tool.
