REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| WARNING | To avoid injury from accidental air bag deployment, read and carefully follow all SERVICE PRECAUTIONS and DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM procedures in appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. |
- Disable air bag system. See «AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM»(ref-31820) article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. Remove steering wheel. Remove steering column cover and lower instrument panel on driver's side. (Scheme 1)
- Remove instrument cluster trim panels and instrument cluster assembly. Remove lower instrument cover on passenger's side. Remove glove box assembly. Remove shift console cover and center console cover. Remove A/C-heater control panel and radio assembly.
- Remove center vent, center console trim and cup holder. Remove console pocket and lower instrument center panel. Remove defroster grille and front pillar garnish. Remove instrument panel and pads. (Scheme 1) To install, reverse removal procedure.
