DESCRIPTION
Automatic A/C-heater system consists of a standard A/C-heater system and added electronically controlled components. The A/C-heater system is controlled by air mix door control, fan speed control, outlet door control, intake door control, A/C compressor clutch and memory function. Coolant temperature in heater core is monitored by heater core coolant temperature sensor.
OPERATION
Automatic A/C-heater system automatically selects optimum airflow, outlet air temperature and outlet vent to maintain vehicle interior temperature at desired setting.
Checks Operation Of Each Actuator
- With system in self-diagnosis step 3, set temperature switch to "D" position on auto amplifier to enter «SELF-DIAGNOSIS STEP»(ref-35301-S29510138372001010900000) 4. Fluorescent display will illuminate a "41". Each time defrost button is pressed, fluorescent display to right of "4" will advance one number, up to "46". After "46", the numbers begin again at "41".
- Ensure fresh air lever is off during tests. As numbers advance, the commands will change air intake and outlet routes. A visual and physical inspection must be made to ensure doors are switching properly.
