Scheme 1: Components

There is no hands free jack. This system supports Bluetooth (wireless system).

General Features

  1. This audio system supports Bluetooth® hands-free and stereo-headset features. HANDS-FREE feature: Making or receiving calls wirelessly. STEREO-HEADSET feature: Playing music from cellular phones (that supports A2DP feature) wirelessly. NOTE: The phone must be paired to the system before using Bluetooth® features. Only one selected (connected) cellular phone can be used with the system at a time. Some phones are not fully compatible with this system.

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the driver airbag module. (Refer to " «DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/airbag/#airbag-modules-clock-spring) ")
  3. Remove the steering wheel. (Refer to " «STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/electronic-steering/#electric-power-steering) ")
  4. Remove the steering wheel cover (A) after loosening the screws.
  5. Loosen the screws after disconnecting the steering wheel remote control switch connector (A).
  6. Remove the handsfree remote control switches (A).

Installation

  1. Install the remote control switch on the steering wheel.
  2. Install the steering wheel.
  3. Reconnect the remote control switch connector and airbag connectors. NOTE: Make sure that the switch connector is plugged in properly.
  4. Install the driver airbag module.
  5. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Separate the handsfree mic (A) from the roof trim.
  3. Remove the handsfree mic (B) after disconnecting the handsfree mic connector (A).
  4. Check the continuity of Mic between terminals.
