Description

Back view camera will activate when the backup light is ON with the ignition switch ON and the shift lever in the R position.

This system is a supplemental system that shows behind the vehicle through the AV monitor or the ECM (Reverse Display Room Mirror) mirror while backing-up.

WARNINGThis system is a supplementary function only. It is the responsibility of the driver or always check the inside/outside rearview mirror and the area behind the vehicle before and while backing up because there is a dead zone that can't be seen using the camera.

Removal

  1. Remove the tailgate trim. (Refer to «TAIL GATE TRIM»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/exterior-body-panels/#tail-gate) .
  2. Remove the tailgate back panel. (Refer to «TAIL GATE BACK PANEL»(/hyundai/santa-fe/iii-2012-2016/remont/exterior-body-panels/#tail-gate) .
  3. Disconnect the connector (A) from the back view camera.
  4. Remove the back view camera (B) after loosening the screws (2EA).

Installation

  1. Install the back view camera.
  2. Install the tailgate back panel and tailgate trim.
