  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to " «INTAKE & EXHAUST SYSTEM»(/hyundai/equus/ii-2009-2013/remont/exhaust/#engine-intake-system-and-exhaust-system) " in EM group)
  3. Remove the knock sensor from the cylinder block.
