| (1) Deflection is with 22 lbs. (10 kg) pressure applied midway on the longest belt run, unless specified otherwise. (2) Standard value. (3) Equipped with an automatic belt tensioner requiring no adjustment. Ensure tensioner mean indicator mark is between minimum and maximum positions. Replace drive belt if mark is outside maximum position. (4) Ensure belts are not damaged and are installed properly into pulley grooves. Loosen power steering tensioner hinge bolt and flange nut enough to allow belt adjustment. (Scheme 8) Apply 22 lbs. (10 kg) pressure at measuring point and measure belt deflection. Turn adjusting bolt to adjust belt deflection as needed. Tighten hinge bolt and flange nut. Loosen A/C and generator belt tensioner mounting bolts enough for tensioner to be adjusted. Turn adjusting bolt to adjust belt deflection as needed. Tighten belt tensioner mounting bolts to 33-36 ft. lbs. (45-49). |
