DTC B2628: Right Front Sensor Failure Honda Pilot II

Note. If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).

  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and than back to ON (II).
  3. Check for DTCs with the HDS. NOTE: If DTC B2625 is also indicated, do the Troubleshooting for that DTC first. Is DTC B2628 indicated? YES - Go to step 4 . NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  5. Swap the right front corner parking sensor and the left front corner parking sensor.
  6. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  7. Check for DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC B2628 indicated? YES - Go to step 8 . NO - Replace the right front corner parking sensor (see «PARKING AND BACK-UP SENSOR SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT»(ref-333635-S17908158862009072100000) ).
  8. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  9. Disconnect the 6P connector from the right front corner parking sensor.
  10. Disconnect the 6P connector from the left front corner parking sensor.
  11. Check for continuity between right front corner parking sensor 6P connector terminals No. 2, No. 4, No. 6 and left front corner parking sensor 6P connector terminals No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5. Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 12 . NO - Repair the open in the appropriate wire.
  12. Check for continuity between right front corner parking sensor 6P connector terminals No. 2, No. 4, No. 6 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Repair the short to ground in the appropriate wire. • NO - Go to step 13 .
  13. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  14. Measure the voltage between right front corner parking sensor 6P connector terminals No. 2, No. 4, No. 6 and body ground. Is there battery voltage? YES - Repair the short to power in the appropriate wire. • NO - Faulty parking and back-up sensor control unit, replace it (see «PARKING AND BACK-UP SENSOR CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST/REPLACEMENT»(ref-333635-S29262428822009072100000) ).
