Removal & Installation: Overview Honda Odyssey I

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable, and positive battery cable. Remove radiator cap and drain cooling system. Remove intake air duct and air cleaner cover (if attached to duct). Loosen adjustment lock nut and remove throttle and cruise control cables from throttle body linkage. Remove throttle control cable (A/T) from throttle linkage.
  2. Release fuel pressure. See «FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE»(ref-49294-S30312304912001011500000) . Disconnect fuel supply line and fuel return line. Remove upper and lower radiator hoses, coolant by-pass hoses, PCV hose, brake booster vacuum hose, and EVAP control canister hose. Label and remove all other vacuum hoses from intake manifold.
  3. Disconnect all wire harness connectors and harness clamps from cylinder head and intake manifold. Disconnect engine ground cable at cylinder head. Remove power steering pump, with hoses attached. Remove alternator drive belt.
  4. Disconnect wiring at alternator. Remove thermostat housing. Remove Intake Air Control (IAC) valve body assembly and coolant by-pass hose.
  5. Remove intake manifold support bracket. Remove ignition coil, spark plug caps, and distributor if necessary. Remove intake manifold chamber if necessary to gain access to intake manifold nuts. Ensure all throttle body and air control components, connectors, wire harnesses, and vacuum and coolant hoses are removed from intake manifold. Remove intake manifold.
