Rear Seat Belt Replacement
Note. Check the rear seat belts for damage, and replace them if necessary. Be careful not to damage them during removal and installation.

- Remove these items: Cargo floor lid (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - CARGO AREA»(ref-290846-S04774016742008072200000) ) Rear trim panel (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - CARGO AREA»(ref-290846-S04774016742008072200000) ) Rear seat Rear seat striker (see «REAR SEAT STRIKER REPLACEMENT»(ref-290866-S23266936832008072200000) )
- Remove the lower anchor bolt.
- Remove the rear side trim panel (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - REAR SIDE AREA»(ref-290846-S31031747122008072200000) ).
- Remove the C-pillar trim (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - REAR SIDE PILLAR AREA»(ref-290846-S40345882242008072200000) ).
- Remove the upper quarter window trim (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - REAR SIDE PILLAR AREA»(ref-290846-S40345882242008072200000) ).
- Remove the upper anchor bolt (A).
- Remove the retractor bolt (A), then remove the rear seat belt (B) and retractor (C).
- If necessary, remove the seat belt protector (D).
- Install the seat belt in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Apply liquid thread lock to the anchor bolts before reinstallation. Tighten the bolts by hand first, then tighten them to specification with a torque wrench. Check that the retractor locking mechanism functions as described (see «INSPECTION»(ref-290865-S09809402622008072200000) ). Before installing the anchor bolts, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt.
