WHEEL ALIGNMENT PROCEDURES
Note. Manufacturer recommends using commercially available computerized 4-wheel alignment equipment. Follow equipment manufacturer's instructions to obtain current vehicle alignment settings. Use following procedures for necessary adjustments. Ensure suspension has not been modified.
Civic, CR-V, Insight & Odyssey Adjustment
Note. Front camber can be adjusted by exchanging one or both damper pinch bolts with a smaller diameter adjusting bolt (90188-S5A-000 for Civic, P/N 90188-S6M-Z010) for CR-V, P/N 90188-S6M-Z01 for Insight, and P/N 90120-S0X-A00 for Odyssey). Difference between adjusting bolt diameter and pinch bolt hole diameter only allows for a small range of adjustment. (Scheme 1)
- Compare camber settings with vehicle manufacturer recommendations. See «WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-152906-S00543030332003030400000). If camber is incorrect, raise and support front of vehicle. Remove front wheels. Loosen and adjust 2 flange nuts by moving bottom of damper within range of damper pinch bolt free play. (Scheme 2) Tighten flange nuts to specifications. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-152906-S26913094562003030400000). Go to next step.
- Install front wheels and lower front of vehicle. Bounce front of vehicle several times to stabilize suspension. Measure camber. If measurement is within specification, measure toe-in. See «TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT»(ref-152906-S10353429792003030400000). If camber is still incorrect, go to next step.
- Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove front wheels. Replace damper pinch bolts with adjusting bolts and adjust camber angle to specifications. Tighten flange nuts to specifications and repeat step 2. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-152906-S26913094562003030400000). If camber is still incorrect, repeat step 2 until measurement is within manufacturer specifications.
- On Civic and CR-V, camber angle can be adjusted up to -15 to 1 minutes (center of tolerance) by replacing one strut pinch bolt with an adjusting bolt. Camber angle can adjusted up to -30 to 30 minutes by replacing both upper and lower strut pinch bolts with the adjusting bolts. On Insight and Odyssey, camber angle can be adjusted from -30 to 30 min. (center tolerance) by replacing one strut pinch bolt with an adjusting bolt. Camber angle can adjusted up to 1 degree and 0 minutes, by replacing both upper and lower strut pinch bolts with the adjusting bolts.

CASTER ADJUSTMENT
Note. On Accord, DO NOT use more than 2 shims. If more than 2 shims are required to adjust caster angle, check for bent or damaged suspension components.
RIDE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Before adjusting alignment, check riding height. Check riding height with vehicle on level floor and tires properly inflated. Ensure passenger and luggage compartments are unloaded. Bounce vehicle several times, and allow suspension to settle. Visually inspect vehicle from front to rear and from side to side for signs of abnormal height.
Measure riding height. (Scheme 3)or (Scheme 4). Riding height between left and right sides of vehicle should vary less than 1" (25.4 mm). If riding height is not within specification, check suspension components and repair or replace them as necessary. See FRONT or REAR article.
