DTC P0125: ECT Sensor Malfunction/Slow Response Honda Civic VII

Testing & Diagnostics ~104 words

Start the engine, and let it idle.
Check the ECT with the HDS or a scan tool. Is about 86°F (30°C) or less indicated? YES - Go to step 3. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check the thermostat and the cooling system.
Let it idle for 6 minutes.
Check the ECT with the HDS or a scan tool. Is about 86°F (30°C) or less indicated? YES - Replace the ECT sensor (see «ECT Sensor Replacement»(ref-173107-S09878681602005031000000) ). NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check the thermostat and the cooling system.
