Remote Keyless Entry Systems: Overview GMC Yukon Denali

DESCRIPTION

Remote keyless entry system allows driver to operate vehicle door lock and unlock functions from outside vehicle using a remote transmitter. Content theft deterrent system may also be armed and disarmed using remote transmitter. Transmitter must be within 33 feet (10 meters) of vehicle for receiver to detect coded signal. System uses uplevel door lock system components with a Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR).

OPERATION

When UNLOCK button is depressed once, only driver door is unlocked. Parking lights will flash and interior lights will turn on for 40 seconds. When UNLOCK button is depressed a second time within 5 seconds, remaining doors including liftgate or cargo doors on utility vehicles (if equipped) are unlocked.

When LOCK button is depressed, all doors and liftgate or cargo doors on utility vehicles (if equipped) lock. When LOCK button is depressed twice, horn sounds to verify that doors locked.

When button with horn symbol is pressed, horns sounds and head lights and park lights will flash for up to 30 seconds. Pressing horn button again or starting vehicle will turn horn and lights off.
