Installation
- Connect the hoses to the coolant pump.
- Position the coolant pump and install the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts in two stages: Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
- Install the radiator bypass hose assembly.
- Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector and attach the pin-type retainer.
- Connect the upper radiator hose, the heater hose and thermostat housing hose.
- Install the radiator upper front cooling tube bolt.
- Install the lower cooling tube bolt.
- Connect the heater hose to the bottom of the coolant pump.
- Install the coolant pump belt. For additional information, refer to «ACCESSORY DRIVE»(ref-233714) .
- Install the battery and the battery tray. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-233724) .
- Install the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to «INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING»(ref-233699) .
- Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to «COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING»(ref-233700-S21960513852006052600000) .
Removal and Installation
Note. The RH and LH cooling fans can be serviced individually. The LH cooling fan is shown, the RH is similar.

- Remove the distribution box and position aside.
- Disconnect the fan electrical connector and detach the retainer.
- Remove the bolt and the electrical cooling fan.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Drain the coolant below the degas bottle. For additional information, refer to «COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING»(ref-233700-S21960513852006052600000) .
- Disconnect the upper hoses.
- Disconnect the lower hose.
- Remove the bolt and the nut, remove the degas bottle.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
