Brake Load Sensor Proportioning Valve Adjustment

Note. The vehicle should be in an unladen condition.
Note. The brake load sensor proportioning valve adjustment should be carried out when the vehicle weight is on the road wheels.

- Using additional weight, set the vehicle to the correct ride height. Refer to the table below. FUEL TANK LEVEL SPECIFICATIONS Fuel Tank Level Additional Weight Required kg lb Empty 40 88 1/4 Full 30 66 1/2 Full 20 44 3/4 Full 10 22
- Loosen the brake load sensor proportioning valve lever retaining nut and valve spring setting bar screw. Loosen the nut. Loosen the screw.
- Set the brake load sensor proportioning valve lever. Position the lever. Tighten the retaining nut.
- Set the brake load sensor proportioning valve spring setting bar to the correct position.
- Tighten the brake load sensor proportioning valve spring setting bar screw.
- Remove the additional weight, if necessary.
