  4. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
  5. Is the concern still present?

Yes

INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER or INSTRUMENT CLUSTER -- SVT . CARRY OUT the data link diagnostics test. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

No

The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

PINPOINT TEST J: NO MODULE/NETWORK COMMUNICATION

J1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE DLC C251 PIN 16, CIRCUIT 29-RA1 (OG)

Scheme 22

Scheme 22: PINPOINT TEST J: NO MODULE/NETWORK COMMUNICATION
  1. Measure the voltage between the DLC C251 pin 16, circuit 29-RA1 (OG), harness side and ground.
  2. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

Yes

GO to J2.

No

REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

J2 CHECK THE DLC GROUND CIRCUITS 31-RA1 (BK) AND 91-RA1 (BK/OG) FOR AN OPEN

Scheme 23

Scheme 23
  1. Measure the resistance between the DLC C251 pin 4, circuit 31-RA1 (BK), harness side and ground; and between the DLC C251 pin 5, circuit 91-RA1 (BK/OG), harness side and ground.
  2. Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?

Yes

CHECK the diagnostic tool. REFER to the diagnostics tool operating manual.

No

REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test
