Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-344091) .
2. Remove the starter motor solenoid wire nut. To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
3. Remove the starter motor solenoid battery cable nut and position aside the cables. To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
4. Remove the ground wire nut and position aside the ground wire. To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
5. Remove the 2 stud bolts and the starter motor. To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
