The electronic engine controls consist of the following

Removal and Installation
Note. The accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor is not serviced separately.
Note. Install a new accelerator pedal assembly if the APP sensor requires service.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the instrument panel steering column cover.
- Disconnect the pin-type retainer and position the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor out of the dash.
- Disconnect and remove the BARO sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & LIFTING»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/hoistjack/#jacking-lifting) .
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt and the CMP sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the bolt and position the ground cable aside.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Partially drain the cooling system.
- Remove the retainers and the air deflector.
- Remove the power steering reservoir bracket retainers.
- Remove the power steering fluid indicator and retainers. Remove the power steering reservoir bracket. Install the power steering indicator and position aside.
- Disconnect the coolant hoses from the air cleaner outlet pipe.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler (CAC) pipe.
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) electrical connector.
- Remove the ECT sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information refer to «ENGINE COOLING»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/cooling-system-mechanical/#engine-cooling) .

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the turbocharger inlet tube. For additional information, refer to «FUEL CHARGING & CONTROLS - TURBOCHARGER»(/ford/cutaway-e350/2004-2007/remont/blowers-superchargers-turbochargers/#fuel-charging-system-turbocharger) .
- Loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler duct.
- Remove the bolts and position the turbocharger oil tube aside. Remove and discard the gasket.
- Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch electrical connector.
- Remove the EOP switch.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new turbocharger oil tube gasket.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

- Disconnect the exhaust pressure sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the exhaust pressure sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the bolts and position the degas bottle aside.
- Disconnect the fuel injector control module (FICM) electrical connectors. Position the wiring harness aside.
- Disconnect the bulkhead connector and position aside.
- Remove the bolts and the FICM.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the retainers and the air deflector.
- Remove the power steering reservoir bracket retainers.
- Remove the power steering fluid indicator and retainers. Remove the power steering reservoir bracket. Install the power steering indicator and position aside.
- Disconnect the coolant hoses from the air cleaner outlet tube.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler (CAC) pipe.
- Disconnect the intake air temperature 2 (IAT2) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the IAT2 sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Disconnect the pressure hose. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the mounting screws and the MAP sensor.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

- Loosen the CAC tube clamps.
- Remove the bolt and position the ground wire aside. Disconnect the electrical connector push pin.
- Remove the bolt and position the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) assembly aside.
- Remove the bolts and position the wiring aside
- Remove the bolts for the charge air cooler tube and the oil fill tube.
- Disconnect and remove the oil fill tube at the valve cover.
- Remove the retaining nuts, charge air cooler tube, oil fill tube and bracket.
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature (EOT) sensor.
- Remove the EOT sensor.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

- Unlatch and disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connectors.
- Remove the bolt and PCM.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Disconnect the turbocharger variable vane hydraulic control valve electrical connector.
- Remove the bolt, bracket and the turbocharger variable vane hydraulic control valve.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals prior to installing.
