Bumpers
The bumper system consists of the following components
- front bumper cover
- front bumper isolator
- front bumper
- front bumper bracket
- rear bumper cover
- rear bumper
- rear bumper bracket

- Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & LIFTING»(/ford/crown-victoria/ii-1997-2011/remont/hoistjack/#jacking-lifting) .
- Remove the 6 lower radiator air deflector bolts, the 2 front bumper cover bolts, and the 4 pin-type retainers.
- Remove the 6 pin-type retainers (3 each side).
- Disconnect the 2 fog lamp electrical connectors.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the side turn signal lamp assemblies. For additional information, refer to «SIDE TURN SIGNAL LAMP»(/ford/crown-victoria/ii-1997-2011/remont/exterior-lights/#exterior-lighting-system) .
- Remove the 2 front bumper cover screws (one each side).
- Remove the 2 front bumper cover screws (one each side, under the front bumper).
- Release the 4 tabs and remove the front bumper cover.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Transfer any components as necessary.

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & LIFTING»(/ford/crown-victoria/ii-1997-2011/remont/hoistjack/#jacking-lifting) .
- Remove the rear bumper cover screws.
- Remove the 2 pin-type retainers and the 2 screws (1 each side).
- Remove the 6 pin-type retainers (3 each side).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the pin-type retainers and the luggage compartment rear trim panel.
- Position the luggage compartment lining material aside.
- Remove the 4 rear bumper cover nuts (2 each side).
- Remove the 6 nuts (3 each side) and the rear bumper cover.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the 5 rivets and the front bumper isolator.
- Remove the 2 rivets and the RH and LH outer isolators.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Use the special tool to install the new rivets.

- Remove the 8 bolts (4 each side) and the front bumper.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the rear bumper cover. For additional information, refer to «REAR BUMPER COVER»(/ford/crown-victoria/ii-1997-2011/remont/exterior-body-panels/#bumper-system) .
- Remove the 4 rear bumper nuts (2 each side).
- Remove the rear bumper.
- If necessary, remove the rear bumper cover brackets and rivets.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure. Use the special tool to install the new rivets.

- Remove the nuts and the front bumper bracket.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the bolt and the rear bumper bracket.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
