Torque Converter Engagement
Accelerate and upshift vehicle into 3rd gear. Maintain constant speed and depress TCC switch. Torque converter clutch should engage and engine RPM should decrease.

- NOTE: CD4E transaxles built after May 1995 contain high-impedance (12.5-19 ohms) TCC solenoid valve bodies, identified by natural (Beige) solenoid valve body connector. Low-impedance (1-2 ohms) TCC solenoid valve bodies are identified by Black solenoid valve body connector. 1993-95 transaxles may be serviced with either high-impedance or low-impedance TCC solenoid valve bodies. DO NOT use low-impedance solenoid valve bodies on 1996 transaxles.
