WIPER ARM ADJUSTMENT

  1. Lift wiper arms away from glass. With ignition in ON or ACC position, operate wipers in LOW setting to park position. Turn ignition off.
  2. Carefully lower arms and blades to windshield. Measure distance of blade tips to cowl screen edge. (Scheme 2) Measurement should be.710-1.65" (18-42 mm). If measurement is not within specification, check for worn parts.
  3. If blade tip strikes cowl screen or molding, remove arm. Remove molded keyway from pivot shaft by cutting or breaking it off. File surface smooth. Position arm on windshield and tighten nut to 27-32 ft. lbs. (37-43 N.m).
