  1. Disconnect the CCV hose (4) at the housing cover (2). (Scheme 35)
  2. Release the housing cover tabs (3). (Scheme 35)1 - AIR CLEANER COVER 2 - ELEMENT 3 - CCV HOSE
  3. Lift the cover (1) and pull toward the front of the vehicle to release the rear cover to housing alignment tabs. (Scheme 36)
  4. Remove the element (2).
  5. Remove any dirt or debris from the bottom of the air filter housing. Cover the air inlet to the throttle body, or do not use compressed air. Otherwise, dirt or foreign objects can enter the intake manifold.

  1. Install the air filter element (2) into air box. (Scheme 37)
  2. Position the cover (1) so that the rear locking tabs insert into the lower housing.
  3. Seat cover (1) onto element housing and assure that the front locking tabs engage.
  4. Reconnect the CCV hose (3).

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the charge air temperature sensor electrical connector (2).
  3. Disconnect the clean air duct between throttle body and air filter housing (3).
  4. Disconnect the makeup air (MUA) tube.
  5. Remove mounting bolt (5).
  6. Remove air filter housing (4).
  7. Raise vehicle.
  8. Partially remove front fascia to gain access to air filter resonator. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-304467-S42157050482008111000000) .
  9. Remove mounting bolt.
  10. Remove air cleaner resonator.

OIL FILTER SPECIFICATION

All engines are equipped with a high quality full-flow, disposable type oil filter. When replacing oil filter, use a Mopar® filter or equivalent.
