| CAUTION | Base ignition timing and timing advance are controlled by the PCM. Since a conventional timing light cannot be used to adjust distributor after installation, ensure distributor is returned to its original position. |
FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE
| CAUTION | ALWAYS relieve pressure before disconnecting any fuel injection-related components. DO NOT allow fuel to contact engine or electrical components. |
- Loosen fuel filler cap to release tank pressure. Disconnect injector wiring harness from engine harness. Connect a jumper wire between terminal No. 1 of injector harness connector and engine ground. (Scheme 7)
- Connect one end of second jumper wire to terminal No. 2 of injector harness connector, and touch other end to battery positive for no more than 5 seconds. This releases system pressure. Remove jumper wires.
